  • i believe the 700 was in 03

  • that guys wasnt in first! haha polaris sucks ass! ive got a sportsman 700 twin, and it blows. fucking this breaks quite often. just the way their put together isnt the very best, arctic cat is good. lol that whole clip i was clenching witha big frown :( hes going to destroy that thingkeeping it half pinned IN MUD IN HIGH!! what?! doesnt anyone read the manuals any more? cuz COMMON SENCE JUST INST SO COMMON anymore

  • Yet another "Watch me wallowing in the mud at 2 mph" video.

    Yawn.

    .

Has anyone posted a video where their tracks-equipped ATV is doing 30 mph on a pothole scorched dirt road in the spring (not in the snow)?

    .

Are there any videos that have tracks-equipped ATVs (and driver) showing their superior (to tires) handling ability on poorly kept roads while in any gear other than 1st geat?

  • more gas stupid man...

  • tracks suck

  • What exhaust do you have on there??? Sounds good!

  • only thing i hate about 800 polaris they sound like a very pist off weed wacker

  • i bet when he was done he didnt wash it off he let it all muddy and when he went to use it his tracks were squeaky... id have hated to be that belt!!!!

  • Why such a low range for a powerful motor? Like you would really need it?

  • @proximxr

because unlike yamaha polaris's belt slip then catch to make it go

at low rpms it just sits and burns belts

yamaha's belt it always in tention and never slips

in other words polaris's are peace of shits

  • @sillybandhaha Ive dissected a polaris's clutch, they also always hold tension (unless the engine is not in operation) on the belt at all times, only the flywheel where the belt meets is very smooth, and rubber + water + slippery surface = slip...

and please, I'm not a desperate fanboy, you can tie a rope to me, but you may not pull.

  • @proximxr yes you do really need it. rocky hillclimbs, technical terrain...it's an absolute must for maximum control of your bike, no matter how powerful. and, the tracks themselves are like a gear reduction kit(in that they reduce the gears). also, even if your bike has the horses to spin the wheels in high, wheelspin is often undesired when you're trying to navigate difficult obstacles or terrain.

  • i bet u could get those stuck in some places where a bulldozer can't go

  • Man das hardcore! I bet if you get stuck though - you're really stuck!! I had TJD Cattracks on my 2005 Kodiak 450 but I only used them for snow. Worked well

  • the tracks look awesome

but how reliable are they, how often do you have to replace the tread, and how hard is it for one to slip off, i know nothing about them and want some info. before purchasing some.

    thanks

  • nice i have honda 250ex i flooded it last year lol it was all the way under water with no snorcle didnt make is out tho

  • that thing looks soooooo mean

  • yes has quite a different feeling on tracks vs tires

  • cool vid...does it feel alot different ridin on flatland with tracks than it does tires?

  • grizzly rlz =)

  • polaris are a good utility quad my dad has the 700twin and the 500sportsmen and we havent had one problem and the 500 is a 96 its just how u take care of ur stuff me on the other hand i like honda

  • honda utility quads suck but the sport quads are decent and they make good dirtbikes

  • @iwearshortsbiatch huh? why do honda utilites suck?

  • polaris' are shit, last year i had nothing but problems, i bought a 2008 arctic cat 650 h1 2 months ago and i have not had a problem since! But like any other brand new atv, you have to get the oil changed the first 100 miles. i have done alot more with my cat, then i ever did with the peice of shit polaris. dont buy a polaris, buy a CAT!

  • articats blow. honda ftw. articats are just basically all plastic

  • @8joey6 agreed!

  • A) is this a skeleton driving a tracked quad in some mud pit ?

    B) that skeleton has clearly never operated an ATV in his life

    C) this is a very poor advertisement for both skeletons and ATV tracks. when used properly tracked ATVs will perform at a much higher level then displayed here.

  • ahahha!

    very true

  • yay polaris 2 stroke utilitiy quad... lol sounds like a pissed off bug

  • its not a 2 stroke

unless he did an engine swap

i think he just has a horrible sounding pipe on it

  • ya im pretty sure it is cuz most if not all the sportsmans were 2 stroke for awhile

  • no, the last year of sportsmans being 2 strokes was like 1996

this one has the new body style

so it has to be an 06, 07, 08, or 09

  • no, not true, they had the twin 2 stroke in like 07

  • nooo

i dont know where you are getting your information from

but polaris has never had a 2 stroke engine bigger than a 400 in their atvs

and that last utlity 400 was like 1996

they had an 03 trailblazer 400

    and an 06 trailblazer 250

but the last utility was a 96 sportsman 400

they might have a twin 2 stroke in their snowmobiles, but never atvs

  • lol no i know ur wrong, idk bout denmark but in usa they had the v-twin 2-stroke for awhile and i think the first big bore 4-stroke came out only a year or 2 ago

  • ha, i live in the usa

i just put denmark when i made this account

    and seriously

where are you hearing this stuff at?

#1-polaris doesnt make v-twins, they have inline twins

#2-they never even had a twin 2 stroke

    #3-they had a 93 magnum 425 4 stroke

#4-they introduced the 700 twin 4 stroke in, or earlier than 02

  • what do u mean they dont have v twins?

wouldnt it be false advertising then on my dads Sportsman 800 X2 V-twin?

  • its an inline twin, not a v twin

  • @Chapstick050 how can they write v twin on the quads then??

  • @Chapstick050 polaris puts v twins in their victory motorcycles.

  • plus, they definetly did not make an 800 2 stroke

  • WHat pipe is on the quad??

  • that was a nasty mud hole

  • the sounds terrible

  • terrible rider

  • Holy crow that was a nasty mud pit....

  • poot it in low

  • prety shure it is in low and I think he should put it in high

  • using hi range blows belts dipshit

  • @andremartinbike it wouldn't even turn them in "high".

  • im going to buy the tracks for my 500 sportsman are they good in snow

  • high gear is too much for the tracks in mud...you will smoke a belt......sonic...can i trust you to hold my camera..lol...;-}

  • Give me a little credit, I do own a tripod LOL

  • @ditchbanger1969 i dont want to sound stupid but when you say the belt will burn i assume on the atv belt will burn so should i put tracks on a shaft driven VS Belt driven?

  • @MrCoreyRushton dude, most every utility atv sold today is shaft driven(especially the 4wd's). in yesteryears, polaris was the exception with their chain drive utilities. but, even with polaris chain driven quads, they had belt-driven automatic transmissions. so...the belt being referred to, is only on automatic transmission bikes(except for hondamatic trannys on the honda). all other bikes with automatic trannys use a belt. but they are still shaft drive. let me know if you don't understand.

  • Respond to this video...now the answer to your question...put the tracks on an automatic quad, not a 5speed manual. the tracks create a lot of rolling resistance, so shifting gears will be hard on equipment. belt tranny is probably best suited.

  • Send some of your Raptor I'll hold the camera!!!

  • are u in low range why aren't u in high
