I am trying to make a dvd this way.. When I click the dropdown box under save there is no burn dvd setting to choose. My video is only 1 hour 9 minutes long. I have tried restarting the program and restarting my computer. Anyone know how I could fix this problem>?
Am I the only one that tried to do this for a full movie and it took FOREVER???? Is it my computer or what? The save process took way longer than the burn process that was shown in the video please respond to me. Thanks
@SolangeMGMahoney: @SolangeMGMahoney: Before writing to the disc, all videos must be converted to the encoding suitable for consumer DVD players. And encoding requires way more processing power than decoding, so anything bigger than a small clip would take a while (naturally, depending on how beefy your PC is). So yes, this is probably normal. If you are pretty sure your videos would play on DVD player, you can just burn a data DVD with those files.
The problem with Windows Live Movie Maker is that the DVD comes out with Scenes starting at random points. I made a DVD with 10 videos equal to 2 hours. The DVD burned fine, but what is the point of having Scenes - which I had assumed were intended to be like Chapter selections on a commercial DVD - if they just start at random points?
@MrHappylittleboozer: "Windows DVD Maker is an application included in ... Windows 7 Home Premium and above" (quote from Wikipedia). If you have Home Basic, you're out of luck.
Ive been through all of that, but the disc still comes out blank...? I put it in a DVD player and it wont work, so put it back in my computer and it says its a blank disc. What is going wrong??
Thanks this video was a life saver! =)

@TheCubansrock Sounds like your CD / DVD drive is not capable of writing to a blank DVD.
