Could Niles have been anymore obvious to Daphne in this episode? I know he was a bit drunk or whatever but wouldn't she question what made him go to such an extreme, or perhaps question why he was so quick to take action when he thought she needed help. Frasier's outburst at Roz does seem uncharacteristic, but I thought he was in a bad mood for the whole episode. I wonder if he was in a dating slump, since it seems everyone is in his way, earning scorn. He has only manners and time for Eve, and that's probably of less than most-honorable intent ;)

I agree. I think this show is beautifully written and I especially love all the references that are usually correct. However, in this episode they seem to have made a little mistake: Geoffrey Chaucer is not a character from but the author of the Canterbury Tales.
