Nice job! Lovin the modern graffiti touch, very few people put graffiti on their railroads. Excellent scenery, too! Definitely hoping to see it in a magazine! Two thumbs up, man!
I used the Woodland Scenics snow. I also used their spray adhesive. It is more expensive than white glue and water, but it doesn't yellow over time. something that is important with snow. The mountain was made using chicken wire as a base for the mountain( about $12 per roll ) and it lasts forever. I then covered it with plaster cloth. I then used a combination of rock face moulds made with basic plaster. Also I used sculpamould and carved some faces myself.
You did an awesome job on this scene. I was hoping to do a snow scene on mine someday but I don't think I could ever get it this realistic. Really nice work!
Incredible layout, my friend! I LOVE your snow techniques! Maybe you and I should put our videos together and start selling them once I professionally film mine. Please check out my latest update and let me know if you like mine. (sort of a "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours".... lol
Your layout just gets better and better! you have any plans to get it in any magazines, or maybe get a film company to come in and make a layout tour video, or a railfanning video of your layout? I would definitly buy that video, because your layout is just amazing.
Thanks for the compliments. I plan to get some proper still photos taken this winter and will submit them to Model Railroader and N Scale Magazine. Hopefully I can get one published at least in the Track Side Photos section.
Definitly can't wait. You should also try to get into N-scale magainze. Let me know when you get it any magazine. I would definitly be interested in seeing that. Can't wait to see you post more videos of your layout. Its amazing!
