  • The answer to your question is Yes. Your uncle's recipe is very traditional and standard. Some people add soda as sweetener and for tenderizing the meat. Some add ginger and lemon to the marinade, as in my case, because I love these two ingredients. It all depends on your preference I guess. :-)

  • My uncle is half korean and he puts scallions, garlic, soy sauce, browned seseame seed and oil, and brown sugar in the marinade, (he and my grandmother are from Korea) so I guess my question is: are there different ways to make bulgogi? or is are their's americanized? either way it is delicious, when he visits he always serves with homade kimchi and sticky rice.

  • Awesome. I am salivating as I watch your video.

  • Thanks matahariwk for all your recipes!

  • I made this for my family for the first time. And it was deeeeelicioooous!!!!!

  • You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my recipes. :-)

  • Looks very tasty Cathlyn. I love all types of Asian cooking, esp. Korean. Thx again.

  • good video.

  • nice video

  • maybe she can inspire korean women into wanting to cook instead of avoiding the kitchen...

I am so tired of kimchi jigae and ramen.

  • Only Korean Americans avoid the kitchen. It's weird since most of them are fat like Americans.

  • maybe the ones you know

  • Not all korean american women are like

that. certainly not from where i live.Maybe

it's because the korean women you know

are to americanized, or only concerned

about other things. The korean women

i know are very good at cooking korean food, and have a great personality.

  • nothing wrong wit kimchi jigae and ramen, just hav some kimbab wit some steak on the side and more kimchi yo

  • lol~~ your probably meeting the

wrong type of korean women. Most

women in korea are great and cooking

    and certainly prefer a somewhat

    traditional korean women that knows

    how to cook!!!
