I remember playing this on my super nintendo when I was wee and by mashing buttons i got a 33 hit combo with spinal. I was like woah.

There's no possible way you got a 33 hit combo with Spinal by mashing buttons. You can get a very high combo with Orchid by repeating just a few set moves, but not Spinal. An Ultra Combo adds 18 hits, so if you do an 8 hit button mash combo and then the Ultra move, that's 26 hits. Past that, you're out of button mashing land and into "trying hard" land.

Not really broken, the combo breaker works because theoritically while the character is falling he/she can still be hit by Combo's rushing punch... so the way combo breakers work is if there is a moment they can be hit they can counter it with combo breaker, its not the cpu's fault that Combo didnt follow through with rushing punch. >.> however i do agree that cpu characters have way too fast reaction time and cant be fooled like a human player.

If you watch carefully you'll realize that the CPU is not playing in my vids, it was played on VS mode, I did the combo breakers by myself, but yes, your theory is correct since I performed a move transition and the combo was not finished yet.

Yup, you're right, this is the KI1 Arcade version. I played those combo breakers on the U64 Emu, it's similar to MAME. I hate the SNES version (and KI GOLD too), in my opinion it sucks, specially its graphics.
