But brown is Kaiba's real hair color, seeing as the makers of this season didn't know his hair color yet (since the manga is black and white), so they made it green. But when Kazuki released the color schemes for the characters, the animators fixed their mistakes in DM (Season 1), and kept it like that.

Reread my last comment. The people that were in charge of the color schemes didn't know what color to give Kaiba's hair, since Kazuki Takashi, the author of the manga, hadn't released the color schemes for the characters yet. So they decided to give him green hair. However, when Kazuki Takashi released the color schemes, the staff in charge of the color schemes corrected their mistakes in DM, and changed Kaiba's hair color to match Kaiba's actual hair color released by Kazuki, which is BROWN.

@yamiluvanny Actually, the season 0 art is more similar to the original manga than DM. A lot of S0 fans, myself included, prefer the softer, more organic S0 style to the sharper, more angular DM style.

As was already stated, Kaiba's hair wasn't intended to be green in the manga. It was a mistake. Personally, I prefer the green hair. Amusingly, the DM artists gave Noa green hair in season 3. Shout-outs FTW.

Anyway, it's not as if DM was a direct continuation of S0. They're different universes.
