My sheltie just can not resist chasing bunnies in forests. When she has sensed a rabbit her eyes and ears just turn into a totally different channel, into the wild animal one. Really difficult to get contact with the dog then.
What a cutie pie. I miss my sheltie so much and it has been 6 yrs since she left for "Rainbow Bridge." They are the most wonderful dogs ever. Thanks for this clip.
you are totally amazing keep up the good work and one day, just one day into the very near future, you may get a phonecall from steven speilburg, god bless you amen
I have a sheltie, Rudi, and he LOVES to run just like this one! It's the herding instinct showing through! Gotta love how the rabbit could care less what the puppy does!
i have three shelties rite now chief charlie and chelsey but in 5 days im picking up and 8 week old puppy whos name is shadow cant wait then in 3 more weeks im getting his cousin who is 4 weeks now and is named lea
How cute. Our "late" Sheltie, Benson use to chase the wild bunnies at our home. (I won't even tell you what he use to do to the carrots I use to leave on the ground for them!)
The bunny that we named "Big Bunny" got fed up one day and chased Benson. After that, Benson would just leave the bunnies in peace.
i had a sheltie who chased a rabbit that couldn't figure out how it got into our chain linked fence, so it just tried to get through one of the holes. it got stuck at the waste and my dog was clueless at what to do so she just barked. my dad cut the fence and let the rabbit go and my mom got pissed for breaking the fence
I won't disagree! I have a sable male sheltie and we always get comments about how gorgeous and friendly and smart he is. He was by far the best dog in his puppy class. They are amazing dogs! Too damn smart for their own good.
WoW!!! All the sheltie wants to do is play with a new friend - just like mine! A joy like no other...Sheltie's will make and break your heart. I was surprised your shelite didn't start to clean the bunnie's eyes and teeth - they are so attentive!!!
That is adorable!! I'm guessing that because your puppy is so young, you didn't have any problems trying to control her urge to chase the bunny. I'm trying to introduce my dog to my bunny, but I guess my dog is too old (3 years). That's a REALLY cute video, though : )
looks just like my sheltie, she would have herded the bunny tho :p
