jeez, he was suppose to be gettin dentures when this video was made March 2007, i think he left the popes late 2003 early 2004, and besides, he probably made this video so people could know a rough story of the man. To be honest, the guy is sitting next to me right now (the guy that made the video) and he showed me proof of him trying and saying he'd get dentures in march 2007.

This version of the story is very simplistic and distorts the facts. Shane is brilliant. The reality is that his departure from the Pogues has been told different ways by different people. Some would argue that he left them, rather than being kicked out. I don't know which is accurate, but I wouldn't want to oversimplify it if I were telling Shane's story.

i have a deep belief that artistic people like Shane..like many artistic/music poetic types...feel too much and have to numb themselfs from all the shyt that goes on in their head. Can you blame them? The world is so messed up... and if you think too much about it...it makes your head want to EXPLODE and you have to do something to numb all.

Does Shane really use drugs, or are you just "saying that"? I know this is probably a silly question, but my sister (who is a major fan) and I have sort of been debating that issue for a while now... We live in a place where 99% of people have never even heard of him btw.
