  • fantastic !

  • May I ask a question please? I see you anchored on a G# with your index finger which is fret 6 on the D string. Can you comment on that strategy to facilitate the playing? It seems like you have a very efficient method for playing what is a very sophisticated bass line (IMHO) - thanks Jeannine from San Francisco

  • @wheresjeannineSF For me this was the best way to play that bass line. I'm not proud of this because it's out of tune.Maybe i have to do it all over again some day and tune my bass very carefully.

  • nice job. Cool bass!

  • Imagine playing this while singing...

  • this is my fav beatle bass lines....great cover

  • sounds like its being played in the wrong key or flat??

  • @steve371970 you are right, the problem here is that the bass is tuned at 440, and the beatles aren't.

  • What are the Bealtes tuned to?

  • @fedetrim What does that meanP

  • Is this right? Sounds like some flat and sharp notes in there. Are you bending the strings? Is that a fretless?

  • Good Job, Wish I had that talent. Paul did.

  • Thanks man. It is kinda hard to hear the bass under the harmonous vocals. Now that I get the feel for it I can play it. Thanks and nice job!

They're not quite in concert pitch, are they?

  • Your bass sound tuned too sharp for this record

  • no..........play bass pls

  • It's not a guitar. Its a bass! You should know that.

  • Some politicians today are Nowhere men...no point of view. The song is so real.

  • nowhere man

wooohh..i can play it in guitar too=]!!

    nice guiatr playing!!

  • Such an easy song with such a complex bass line...

  • this is awesome i love the bass

  • Hey ive always played by ear but I can't alaways find all the notes for some little fillings. Shoudl I just get more used to the fret board or is there some kind of trick idk but I can get get most songs by ear pretty good

  • A-Gis-Fis-E-Cis

  • thank you for the video

  • do you have tabs mate

  • Sorry no tabs ! I'm a play-by-ear guitar guy.

    Greetings

  • GREAT! play-by-ear? i wish i could do that too.

  • You aughta write some for those of us who don't have that musical ability!

  • oh thanks anyway

  • great job- what kind of bass are you using? thanks

  • Lakland Deluxe 44-02 4-String Bass

  • Nice work paL -I think your tuned but just missed a few notes....check your highs...

  • He's not trying to play it note for note perfect. I prefer listening to a player's interpretation. If I want to hear it note for note perfect I'll listen to the original.

  • with old recordings its hard to get the right tune,, because they are always a little detuned

  • While I wouldn't say always you are right that many of the old analog recordings were a little out of tune. Many of the old turntables and reel to reel recorders had controls for fine tuning speed and thus tuning.

  • :D

This is the first time I actually listened to the Beatles.

Now I'm learning this song too.

  • Pretty good, but your bass is tuned slightly higher than the record you're playing.

  • Nice again.... always wished that George Martin would have turned up the volume on the earlier Beatles stuff to hear McCartney's innovative bass playing more!

  • did paul play by ear or he did learn musical theory?

  • paul don't know how to read sheets music ...but he is one of the best musician of the world ...

  • Nice work! McCartney was a genius. You know he changes it a bit on the final chorus (after what sounds like a bit of a mistake). He goes on and makes it work beautifully with a slightly different pattern. So many great bass patterns (players and composers) back in the day . . . So many of the great songs have great bass lines (Beatles, Motown, etc.) . . . Sadly, I don't think (most) modern playing is anywhere near as creative. There are exceptions of course. Cheers! Bass sound great!

  • Great cover, one of my favourite Beatles songs!

  • yeah! mine too, but john (who wright it) didnt like it at all....

  • Nice man, nice :D

  • You're a fantastic bass player! I'm a beginner just learning to play the bass guitar. I'm really a guitar player and I've always enjoy playing The Beatles music.

  • First! Nice bass playing! More Beatles!
