Another thing that would help in the fight is the sticky white stuff you pick up earlier in the level. That with a decent weapon two handed makes the fight go by really quick.

i love Demon Souls and Dark Souls, i just beat them both, a few days ago, good memories... Very easy games even on playthrough 2 and 3 they were easy.
@ShadowRocker24 they are easy and challenging easy i mean if u got the right weapon, u play with patience and dodge, its easy as hell i got platinum on demon souls and will get on dark souls im with 44% From Software must make a sequel maybe Chaos Souls to form a trilogy :)
This one took me 2 tries. What I did is stay at the back of the tunnel. He shoots fireballs at you but they aren't bad to dodge. The thing to watch out for are his periodic shots of webbing which can cause you to die (for lack of mobility) if your health is too low. Basically, I just shot arrows at him from back there until he died. I never got anywhere near him. I just made sure to keep my HP at max to avoid being killed if I should mess up and get caught in his webbing.

@spyfake134 Depends what build you are playing. If its a magic/melee hybrid (bows work well to given you have the Thief's Ring). Play pure melee though and the is really tough (on NG+ and beyond he is REALLY tough). Armored Spider on the other hand really is pretty damn easy. The dude in this vid didn't even have the Purple Flame Shield and yet beat the thing without too much fuss.
@NINJAinTIGHTS Well, When I fight Flamelurker, I just wear black leather, eternal warrior ring, theif ring, use the blue blood sword and tower shield +5. But I do not mage Flamelurker. I just roll alot.

Once you know his attacks he is quite managable but if you get too cocky the Flamelurker will put you back in your place really fast (on NG+ and beyond in particular where sucssesfully blocking his attacks with even the Purple Flame Shield is hazardous. You either learn to dogde or you die...or you use the spine glitch XD)
@spyfake134 New Game+. Once you beat the game you start over with your current level and equipment but the difficulty of the enemies has also increased by quite a bit. If you beat NG+ you continue on to NG++ where things are even more tough an so on. Got to N+++ myself.
my strat in soul form: just eat his attacks, spam melee him, when at half health use a full moon grass. you'll need only ~3 or 4 grass if you spam hard enough
In my opinion, the hardest boss in the whole game is Maneater. Just because there's 2 of them. Old monk, just play offline. Allant, just hide behind the stair walls and wait for him to turn around. Then cast Poison Cloud

@JSasRays haha i jump toward my ps3 when i die. and i was dumb and started off as a mage and kept dying so i restarted with the royal and was surprised to have a ring that refills mp and im like sweeeeet. so i try not to get close to any enemy cuz god forbid they slap u in the face and u die ._.
well that only took 2 hours.....tip for thieves, load up on herbs, use sticky white stuff, charge while guarding and dodge fireballs, get close, shield against its smacks, and roll backwards when it trembles and drops when it blows fire shield up take the hit and heal. rinse and repeat. dodging and guarding are most important
how can you get back to it,i died the first time and the elevator is still down there so there's no possible way to get back down without jumping off and dying,this is pretty lame.
my only problem with this fight is i keep running out of healing stuff, i know i need to stop pile a shit load of grass before i go head to head with this thing again after the first time i tried. btw the tactic you showed helped alot for hurting it. thanks :)

that was one of the easiest demon for me ... I was level 25 Knight.... and never escaped even his big flames ... my shiel protected me... and killed it 1,5 minutes ... the 3 demons were so hard for me Maneater (cause I dont have firestorm) , Flamelurker and the Penetrator...

Gah once you beat the game twice or so, the spider is a joke. You can kill her in three hits and take hardly any damage. The only bosses at least for me that are still really hard are maneater and false king allant- the very last boss.

Me and my friend were close to this fight, then some other black phantom player invaded our game. He didn't put up much of a fight. Besides giving us the p-lague and rolling around all day we hardly got hit. Then he ran off and killed us and sent us the message: " LOL!!! ". With that my friends snatches the controller and replies " That was an epic fail thanx ". Rofl xD

use bow and shoot it and go back n hide in corner near fog. after it shoots all its attacks shoot it again with bow. may take a little time. but atleast your alive
i beat him on my first try, i just had cling ring, thiefs ring, and used one sticky white stuff and wailed on him. I didn't even let him build up fire and make me run to the end of the tunnel..which i was expecting to do.
Dear god this is a pisstake. Looks like I'm gonna have to go for the run-like-hell-at-the-thing strategy because the constant barrage of web and fire is just stopping me dead in my tracks.
With my Royalty character my soul level was too high IMO, I had water veil, flame resistance ring, and soul arrow do all the work for me. Way too boring for my tastes.
So with my Temple Knight character I went in with a lower soul level, a bastard sword and a purple flame shield. Oh man what a fun fight. If you didn't fight him with melee, you're missing out! Give it a go with another character some time, it's really fun!
If you have the soul arrow or something like that, a quick and safe way to defeat the spider is to run forward and hide behind its huge leg. It then cannot hit you with anything, and at your leisure you can step aside from time to time and blast it.
Personally I found this boss rather easy and straightforward, mostly because i learned it's patterns rather quickly, played as a magician class, i was out of mana when i met this boss so i had to use melee attacks on it.
i hate to watch this because im cheating, but i've fought it 3 times and got it down 1/2 hp each time, died from stupid mistakes, so im seeying if this is a better way, i will now watch this T_T

@SIMOPHIL yep. And to make it more frustrating, your corpse is still at the place of the boss, with all of your souls. If you die again trying to get back, YOU LOOSE ALL THE SOULS AT THE PLACE OF THE BOSS. Talk about frustration...

here's the key to beating this boss:
know it's attack pattern and be ready to heal. that's it. once you realize what it's attacks are, and when it does that big.... flamey..... thingy..... he's pretty easy to beat. the flamelurker's fucking hard....

Me and my friend were close to this fight, then some other black phantom player invaded our game. He didn't put up much of a fight. Besides giving us the p-lague and rolling around all day we hardly got hit. Then he ran off and killed us and sent us the message: " LOL!!! ". With that my friends snatches the controller and replies " That was an epic fail thanx ". Rofl xD

use bow and shoot it and go back n hide in corner near fog. after it shoots all its attacks shoot it again with bow. may take a little time. but atleast your alive

i beat him on my first try, i just had cling ring, thiefs ring, and used one sticky white stuff and wailed on him. I didn't even let him build up fire and make me run to the end of the tunnel..which i was expecting to do.

With my Royalty character my soul level was too high IMO, I had water veil, flame resistance ring, and soul arrow do all the work for me. Way too boring for my tastes.
So with my Temple Knight character I went in with a lower soul level, a bastard sword and a purple flame shield. Oh man what a fun fight. If you didn't fight him with melee, you're missing out! Give it a go with another character some time, it's really fun!

If you have the soul arrow or something like that, a quick and safe way to defeat the spider is to run forward and hide behind its huge leg. It then cannot hit you with anything, and at your leisure you can step aside from time to time and blast it.

Personally I found this boss rather easy and straightforward, mostly because i learned it's patterns rather quickly, played as a magician class, i was out of mana when i met this boss so i had to use melee attacks on it.

@SIMOPHIL yep. And to make it more frustrating, your corpse is still at the place of the boss, with all of your souls. If you die again trying to get back, YOU LOOSE ALL THE SOULS AT THE PLACE OF THE BOSS. Talk about frustration...
