If you like the 80´ties then this is the fucking greatest Bubblegum -Pop ever.But there is nothing styled by a lable or manager .It´s grown.So they are a great inspiration for many musicians and producers.I love them.I wish that aera will come again.Petticoats with lace ruffels,polkadots,spike heeled pumps and candy-cloured clothes.if i listen to them i even remains me of Tracy Ullman and Kirsty McColl
@hernhillrebel They were really under-rated in general. Major record labels in the 80's tried to pop out everything and SS was no exception. Instead of being sold off as the artsy, post-punk folk duet they were, they were sold as a huge pop act and of course, didn't get too far. I still love their album, but if you listen to their peel, demo, and live sessions, you will know what I mean.
@1stofthegangtodie In those days I think female singers still were in the habit of sometimes singing songs from a male perspective. Listening to this song again after all these years it does actually sound like a girl singing about wanting another girl.
I actually knew about this song before Since Yesterday, but I never knew who this group was until about 20 years later, about a couple of months ago. I used to see this video everyday back home (Philippines) as a type of "filler film" before playing actual braodcasts.
A masterpiece of a sound

Its a shame SS don't make anymore music. While I'm not a big 80's fan, this is without a doubt one of my favourite bands.

@shinatama81
The SS is a banned criminal organization in German and Austria.

@chica476 LOL. SS is an abbreviation for Strawberry Switchblade. not some criminal organization. double LOL.

I love this song! Even if I am a guy, I can relate to some parts of the story being told in the song.
