I am a bit confused here about the Magar state in Lamjung.As i am from Lamjung and i believe it was Ghale Raja that was defeated in cross country running as the history written by the victors that being the Shah Bhansha wrote back then.We do not know what really happened and it is rather unconvincing to win a state in that fashion which is very hard to comprehend.
The film is "Seemarekha," based on a novel about the Dravya Shah's conquest of Lamjunge Magar state(Remember the Lig Lige Daud).(Forgot the writer's name, but he's a Magar and from Butwal or Chitwan). The heroine is Rajani Rana(Magar) and the hero(forgot the name) is from HongKong. This song in particular was sung by Ramkrishna Dhakal and Sangeeta Rana(Kishore Rana's wife).Kishore Rana(Magar) directed the film. The filming was done mostly in Lamjung around 1997/1998.

i know some historians say its ghales but nooo.its magars... who were the rulers. ya.... go and read the real history......and by the way ghales are not gurungs ya.... ghalea rae a different caste... that is similar to gurungs and magars because its lives in the similar religion.... ali ali bhaye halche ni same region bata ayepachi... that dosent mean ..... it is gurung ke.... uso bhaye ta rai ra limbu pab=ni auti thau ko bhane bhayo ni.. u cant make the history history is wats written

heyyyy guys those who visiting this web and goin through the comment.... this is not based on gurung history ok........... this is based on magar history...... be clear abt that..... i have not heard of gurung ruling the liglig.... ya.... it was magar so get ur facts right ya..... if dont beliueve then go and read the real history....... me being a history student .. i would like to clear thsi confusion up for those who think its based on gurung history,..... by the way liglig is not in lumgun

Welldone guys Gurungs' Histry but role was played by Magar Actor, director etc etc. I read real histry about all caste Gurung and Magar. Gurung originated in LamJung where Gurung King The Ghale Lost compition to be a king by running faster. .

Hi folks,
This movie is a classic history teller which is based on true history of magar tribe in nepal. To get to the fact i have gone through ancient books, native people and the movie itself. The conclusion i came after my re-search is that the movie itself is based on true magar tribe history. The Magar kingdom ruled there before it was invaded by other tribes. well, go to the history books if you want to get more clear.
All together very good movie, i recon to watch.

I am a bit confused here about the Magar state in Lamjung.As i am from Lamjung and i believe it was Ghale Raja that was defeated in cross country running as the history written by the victors that being the Shah Bhansha wrote back then.We do not know what really happened and it is rather unconvincing to win a state in that fashion which is very hard to comprehend.

The film is "Seemarekha," based on a novel about the Dravya Shah's conquest of Lamjunge Magar state(Remember the Lig Lige Daud).(Forgot the writer's name, but he's a Magar and from Butwal or Chitwan). The heroine is Rajani Rana(Magar) and the hero(forgot the name) is from HongKong. This song in particular was sung by Ramkrishna Dhakal and Sangeeta Rana(Kishore Rana's wife).Kishore Rana(Magar) directed the film. The filming was done mostly in Lamjung around 1997/1998.

i dont know how u get this idea that lamjung was a magar state..it has been ruled by ghale kings for centuries..lamjung, kaski, syanjha, parbat, these places were once ruled by gurungs, ..until later thakuri king invaded and took over the power..u can clearly see in the movie that actors refer themselves as ghale king..u sud watch that movie once again..

u need to get ur facts straight..eventhough they actors are magar, but they are potrying the gurung kingdon of lamjung..if u have watched the movie, they refer themselves as ghale kings which is gurung...i dont know about the dress coz gurung dress is and magar dress is very similar, but there is one difference, girls wear yellow patuka..which in this movie, u dont see it..sorri..no offense..this movie is about ghale kings of lamjung..which is of gurung caste

I don't agree u........coz i'm ghale and i don't think ghales are gurung.......is it?...according to my knowledge till now ghales and gurungs have similar cultues....but the langage is not same...and the culture n dress of Duras are mostly same to gurungs isn't it?.....Tamus are gurungs and Khleme are Ghales thats it...i will b great ful to listen soon from u.....take care ....cheers mate.......
