  • No Bröselmaschine? Fantastic video Andreas. Some brilliant choices, some of which I must explore further. I slept on Beck's Modern Guilt until recently though I have yet to own it on vinyl. You've done it again by making me proud to be employed after watching one of your videos! - Take care my friend, Lj

  • @BioCYTE1 Hi Lj, that was a hard video to make, as I said, I bought so many good records this year that this is an unfair selection.

I think I showed those that I listened to more than others, because of convenience and/or because I bought them more recently and remembered that I listened to them more lol

One I didn't show, and did listen to a lot, was Sword's Warp Riders, modernized NWOBH sound with a Sci Fi theme, you will love that one I bet!

  • @sonicmainliner Sword is a great recommendation, have to see what I can find out about them and what's available stateside. Thanks Andreas! - Lj

  • @BioCYTE1 You can always give it a go on Spotify. If you need an invite for it, let me know ;)

  • @sonicmainliner Very cool. I'll send you a PM!

  • That Peaking Lights record is so awesome ! Spun that record so many times so that's one of my obsessions. I went for the cd as it contains 2 extra tracks which are both indispensable though. I will check out Wolf People,Umberto and Mary Butterworth. Will get back to you on those :) And Merry Christmas and a great 2012 for you as well. And thanks for the great vids of 2011 ;)

  • @maanvaarder1 There is a remix album as well, which I got, and it is equally good. Some older PL records have surfaced recently and I am thinking of getting those :)

Do let me know what you think, have lovely, lovely Christmas!

  • good choices!

  • @babylonseeker Cheers mate, have a great holiday!

  • How weird, I went record shopping today after watching your video this morning and at my local store they had both Wolf People LPs on sale for 9 bucks each. Picked them both up based on your recommendation, and LOVED them. Will show them/mention you in my next finds video. Thanks Andreas, take care & happy holidays.

  • @TheInfiniteGroove Thanks Anthony, happy holidays to you too mate, let us know when your project is completed ;)

  • @sonicmainliner I actually finished the album. I sent a copy to Dereck, and he mentioned it in a video, I'll send you the video.

  • Great records to be obsessed with. I'll have to give Wolf Parade a listen. I tended to dismiss them thinking their name too close to Wolf Eyes to be of interest. Happy Holidays!

  • @dereckvon Give them a go, I love it personally, that's why I talk about it obviously, I think that you will like it. Cheers Dereck, have a lovely holiday!

  • Cool! I was waiting for your response, thanks! I have that wolf people it's excellent indeed! I'll show it in a best of 2010 I have not make so far. Rubaiyat, fabulous! I must re-listen to NMH mos def. I don't have the new tom waits, here they ask smthg like $37 for it so it was not a priority for me. I'll check out mary butterworth, thanks for showing/ I must get umberto, you have shown this quite a few times/ You always show some intriguing stuff, excellent, thanks and merry Xmas!

  • @Chris4127basket $37 is a bit of money, I get it that it is not a priority, it is not groundbreaking, but it is Tom Waits, and it is very good.

Thanks Chris, and have a lovely holiday as well!

  • @sonicmainliner Yes, I've heard that TW album online and it's indeed very good (as always). Cheers!

  • Love the Earth: Style of Demons LP. Did you show the RSD release for 'Demons of Light' in one of your last videos? I just love how subtle their music is. I did not like them at first but then something changes and I just loved them after that. I think you turned me onto the Mary Butterworth album. The first song I heard was instrumental and I could not believe how clear the recording was for such an old album. But it is just fantastic.

Thanks again for all the music you turn me onto.

    Rob/Boston

  • @Paneeks1960 I did show that one, really nice, but Pentastar is the one I like the best.

    Thanks Rob!

  • Καλά Χριστούγεννα, και καλές γιορτές να'χεις!!!

I didn't know a lot of your 2011 obsessions, i will give them all a try for sure. :))

  • @dexter21380 Καλά Χριστούγεννα και καλές γιορτές και σε εσένα! Hope you find something interesting in all these.

  • Wolf People sound really interesting. I may further investigate. Bone Machine is so so so excellent...I have to say I have not bought the new Tom Waits. I couldn't justify it. Great records!

  • @bigstar1000 I think you should, I have a feeling that you will like it ;) Cheers Fred, have a lovely holiday!

  • Love Dorthy Ashby! NMH is also a great record! Modern Guilt is great! Check out One Foot in the Grave- that's Beck's first LP great folk record- very minimalist, especially compared to what came after. Earth! Love Pentastar! Great pics! Happy Holidays

  • @MrFartboy79 I already have One Foot in the Grave :P, great record indeed, thanks for watching. Happy holidays to you too Tony!
