This is so great just listenting to this without thinking about. I was playing the game and some of the levels just had fantastic music and I knew I had to look up the soundtrack. Koji Kondo is usually the composer for most Mario games but this sounded way different from his sound of music, I knew there were different composers for this game but the music is so surreal :)

I just realized this -

This is the first Mario game that had a real romance. Sure, Peach kisses Mario after he rescues her on a regular basis, but there's no depth in that! Timpani and Blumiere's story is so tragic...yet at the end, it becomes so happy. Kind of. They better have lived through their wedding. -.-

It turned out the first time I played the game I had it perfectly and accidentally timed so that that part played when Nastasia smiled for the first time and was the only won who believed in the Count's and Tippi's survival. It just went really well and it made it really sad because Nastasia finally got emotional. :P

Maybe the next game should have a combination of the two systems.

The final boss was a huge disappointment with uot it, most of the bosses were. They should of had a Turn base, and the same type they had in this game. It would of made it more epicer because when i got to the final boss i was like omg this is goign to be hard, i beat it on my first shot. It was sad. PM 1 and 2 wasnt like that

It's intentionally left vague, maybe they were reunited, or maybe they simply ceased to exist in order to destroy the Chaos Heart. It's for the player to interpret. That way, you're invited to contemplate the story and it makes the ending bittersweet, and the message of hope is more powerful by letting you hope that they're happy now instead of just saying "they lived happily ever after". You know, it's about faith, hope, and the price redemption and all that.
