I must admit, when I first saw a Glee-commercial I thought it was gonna be like HSM (I guess, everybody did) but I watched the first episode when it aired (in Germany it was Jan.2011 on a KIDS' channel - I'm still furious) anyway cos almost everybody in the US loved it & a friend of mine kept telling me how good it was. Im so glad I did, cos it so NOT like HSM. HSM is for children, it's cheap, VERY unrealistic, has flat characters, boring songs etc. (well, we all know that already ;) GLEE ROCKS

Non the less there is great music, action, drama, Things that people face everyday.

1. The show is meant to be a satire of the traditional view of high school life

and 2. The cast and crew are incredibly talented.

Also, why would you expect them to sing live on a television show? The sound quality would be horrific if the mics were trying to keep an group sound while they're doing flips and complex original choreography.

If you're going to dis modern culture and music, look to trashy auto-tune sluts.
