  • does the voltage thing tell you the batter life left?

  • 0:45 LMAO- controller thingy ma nigger!! Lolololololololololololololol . Good job bro! NIGGERS suck

  • Will you make a review of Graupner MX-20?? Great channel by the way! thanx.

  • Warning, nooby question coming: I'm pretty new to rc flight, i have a spektrum dx6i. If I'm shopping for a new plane that comes RTF and has a 2.4 GHz receiver, can i use my dx6i transmitter or does it NEED to have the DSX receiver in it?

  • @jbboom52 Im pretty sure spektrum radios only bind to spektrum and JR receivers

  • @TehProspector ----- orange advertises that their receivers are compatible as well as others.

  • Update your playlists

  • Very profesionaly done. Very impressed.

  • Great job on the videos guys, you two work weel together. At the moment I have threee separate Transmitters all which came with my planes but I've been wanting a TX?RX I can use on all my planes ( more to be purchased in the future) and I was sure which direction to go Futabu,Spektrum or Jr but the DX8 price wise seems to be the best deal yet. Keep up the great work and I'll keep watching..

  • I turned it off at the $400 mark...

Still addicted to your channel but... I don't even have a plane yet, (getting a bixler soon)

  • @JAMESHARTDRUMS dude i know im getting a sky surfer with brushless mottor

  • @gravekeepersFTW thats awesome, i was looking at the HAWKSKY for a while which i believe is the same but the bixler just took my fancy with the remote having the signal switches if its wired wrong haha

  • Very positive review but the radio that I actually bought at your suggestion is full of problems. In a short period of eight months it has been twice in service with gimbals problems. Be more informed when you give thumbs up to a product. Regards…

  • Nice work. You just sold me on a DX8.

  • DONT TOUCH MY FU@KING STICKERS!!!!

  • what about Braille? this sounds like fun

  • NIce Job Guys as usual ..

  • 0:46 "remote controller thingy ma nigger"

  • i have a futaba attack4 is that good for a e flite taylorcraft

  • I have a Jr Dsx7 radio now would this be a good upgrade? Or should I get something like an aurora9 or a JR9503?

  • How cool is it that Bixler has a Signature plane, there's an ad for it on the side right now lol

  • I just ordered my dx8, so excited can't wait to play with it.

  • Spektrum DX8 or JR X9503 for a heli dude.

  • height would be cool for telemetry

  • I agree the video editing was phenomenal, panning, zooming and close up was unbelievable you have a gift my friend. Nice side comments as well that all worked seamlessly. Congratulations to both of you.

  • what about helicopters

  • I just love your intro's ! <3

  • Transceiver on both ends if you wanna get technical :)

I like you guys, you're funny!

  • Best part about the DX 8 is the Cheap Hobby King Receivers!!

I have never bought a overpriced spektrum receiver! Thanks Hobby King!

  • Hi Flitetest team. Will you make a review of DX10T?

  • heeyy l need help..!! l always lost telemetry signal after 200-250 meter,,is it normal ? recevier signal works greate just l have issue with telemetry,, did anybody also had this issue with telemetry.. ?

    waiting answer !!

    Ty

  • im a beginner i just got my blade mcx2. By the time i reached those levels of flying they probably come out with a DX9 peace cool vid very informational.

  • Came in a little bit hot, huh Josh? Great vid guys!

  • Comment removed

  • @realmavi My DX8 works absolutely fantastic soo, I'm not sure what kind of problems people have had but I havent had any.

  • Where you get the plane ? I want that.

  • DX7 $350 :O I paid $80 for mine :L

  • Du you know how long the range is on this?

  • me want one!

  • @blackdragon185

I would strongly recommend the DX8, I have one and I fly all sorts of models: Gas, Electric, Nitro, and it suits all my needs. :D

  • Stickers!!!! LOL

  • Great review guys

DX8 range is about 3klms and telemetry is about 2.2klms

  • I would really like to buy this radio but I DO NOT TRUST DSM2/DSMX on bigger aircraft for full range. A good park flyer radio, but not good enough for the big gas stuff. I really wish I could trust their DSM2/DSMX, I've heard way to many bad things. I'm going to get the FASST system

  • @UtRadioGuy

How does Model match work on FASST

  • @carman3uk - No clue!

  • @carman3uk - Oh by the way I'm going to get a DX8

  • beep bo bep

  • I just bought a new radio and it has a built in price tag of 31 bucks. heheheh It will do what I need for that price. This dx8 is a real cool radio and has all the bells and whistles but 5 to 8 hundred bucks is way over priced. Sorry but If your new then work your way up.

  • great quality video and review.

    thank you

  • What do you recommend dx8 or turngy 9x????

  • I got annoyed at amateurish Josh at first (still occasionally want to slap him) but great combo of personalities, works well, great videos and well thought out. I wish I had this sort of help/information when I started in RC (back in the expensive pre (gasp) internet times). Now cheap prices for great quality, more help than you can throw a stick at by great guys like yourselves! Thumbs up. Great job.

  • I have been in this hobby since 1969, and have recently become more interested in electric flying. The industry has changed tremendously since then and it is great to see you both reviewing these new products! You 2 are like the Smothers Brothers of the R/C world. Your reviews are never boring, but to the point. Keep up great work!

  • Nice... You guys should do one like that on the HiTec Aurora9. I was torn between it and the DX8.

I went with the HT Aurora.

I use it in about 6 or 7 Park Flyers of mine.

BUT, my issue wound up being, that I really got hooked on the UM's, like Champ and UM Beast and UM T-28. They are all equipt with the tiny little DSM combo Rx.

    No worky with HT... :(

  • you guys are cool with your vids

  • ha ha ha i rilly wish you actully could find your target and shot them

  • Great review .. I was looking to upgrade from DX6i .. You sold me :)

P.S. I hope you gave Josh the stickers .. His day would be well made :)

  • amazing guys..........you have GOOD QUALITY VIDS, UR GOOD PILOTS, UR FUNNY, THE BEST OF RC.......KINDA

  • That guys is so funny!! lmao

  • Great stuff guys love the programs great channel. You really need to do some tight shots of the the TX's display when your explaining about the TX's features this has happened with the Expo video as well. I know this is hard in the field to capture the display so shoot these shots separately and drop them in would work well.

Keep up the good work : D

    Kris UK

  • Hey Josh what the hammer behind you is for ??? :-D

  • Wow, Josh is pretty dumb, but I will say Josh on the other hand is very knowledgeable.

"Let's talk about the stickers." ^_^

  • the dx8 deserves frequency hopping. ive seen people crash with spektrum, online and in real life. you might as well use hitec. props to spektrum, they are great but hitec is better.

  • i thought the 8FG was ugly but the DX8 tops it hands down! screen is downright too small to see any data that the telemetry function has to offer.

  • Very professional camera work and above all, the two hosts present themselves well and are great on cam. Their personalities balance each other out and the video doesn't get boring or corny. I personally like how the technicality gets downplayed by the comments of the 2nd Josh character. There's no point in having a second host if he just does the same job as the first amiright? Great job.

  • @zerggon Yeah, you're absolutely right, these are great videos.

There is a slight corniness in some of the commentary of the co-host, but it definitely keeps things very interesting so who gives?

  • @zerggon baby josh is too cute...we would miss him too much... ;-)

  • Great Video!

  • Awesome review and great job guys! Only one thing and I hope I am not stepping on your toes but I hope I can be honest. The information is awesome but the moron Josh character is going too far. Some of the humor is cool but way too much for me. For me it subtracts from your video's because it is conjured up too much. More of a natural humor is far better and more entertaining if that is part of your goal. A good example of good humor would be rcpowers. Thanks for listening.

  • Great video. Very enjoyable.

  • Great video! You mentioned Aerotech Hobby. Is that the one in North Canton, Ohio?

  • Lookin good Great vids on your channel Thanks for sharing.

  • Good review of the DX8 on a great channel = thumbs up.

  • @startazz yes good review but it would be nice to see a "real" radio reviewed such as airtronics or futaba

  • @0x33f airtronics or futaba cant hold a candle to Spektrum.

  • @TheFlyinghotdog LOL your a funny guy either you have no clue (if so you should look into said radios) or your in complete denial because you own a spektrum (if so I feel for you) good luck and have fun flying..

  • @0x33f So whats Spektrum a toy?? i've had a DX6i for a couple of years now and never had a problem with it so this (DX8) might be my next TX after xmas that is ;-) so saying a real radio is a bit lame in MHO.

  • @startazz not a toy but in the $400-$550 mid range TX market there a four better radios Futaba 8FG,Airtronics SD10G,hitec aurora 9 and JR 9503 all Four are better overall in programing features the Futaba and airtronics have better latency,Futaba airtronics and hitec have better 2.4g technology (the JR has DSM2 but it looks like they will jump the spektrum ship for frequency hopping) hands down the the DX8 is lacking in this price range but we all can decide for ourselves what works best

  • @0x33f So what happens if you already own a bunch of spektrum RX's. Then you have to replace all 10 or 20 RX with different equipment and relearn your thinking process of a different radio. You will never get what you paid for them. And do the other brands have the same amazing support as Horizon hobby? I basically have had nothing but succes with spektrum so far so I am stickin with em! In MHO.

  • @youtwoba Easy answer to your RX situation...you buy a JR :) but for people not heavily invested in spektrum RX's there are multiple choices in this price range that very well could be money better spent.

Regarding support hitec and airtronics/global hobby are great.Futaba/great planes could use some help.

    Have fun flying

  • Hey, great videos. The production quality is spot on!

However, (don't you hate the "however"?) I understand the good cop bad cop routine you guys are playing by using smart Josh and dumb Josh. It's a great way to get out lots of newb info without your viewers getting to ask any questions. But, IMHO, it's a little over done. Your content seems geared more toward a slightly more advanced enthusiast...and lately, dumb Josh is acting more like "special" Josh.

Did I say the production was great?

  • @gjferg I like special josh he proves even slow people can have a hobby

  • You guys rock please keep up the videos. The series you have going is by far the best i have seen. Hope to see alot more from you guys. I would love to see a video walk through of the Josh that flys to teach to Josh that doesnt fly. Thanks again keep it up

  • wow, and it comes with a neckstrap too! my dx6i didn't even come with one. great show, now let's see this radio in action and get some more planes up in the air. chop! chop!

  • Another great show but I think calling it an "Overview" or "Product Showcase" might be better suited than "Review" as all shows to date really aren't reviewing anything.

  • Great Show again.

I would subscribe again if I could.

Is this radio good for a begginer and what is its range withs its original reciever (it is full rang but how much is that in miles km)?

    Is it worth the price?

Cant wait for more videos XD

  • @Zagrebfico The DX8 is a great radio. If your a beginner and know you are going to stay in the hobby and have the cash: I would say go for it. But if not absolutly certain, I would say make it your second radio. It is kind of like picking out your first guitar...... Some go for one they will use foever and some choose one to get them over the hump of learning. The range specs are never really released,.. just know you will fly the plane out of site before you will loose control.

  • @joshuamelvin The range is something you should test yourself though, as its actually dependent mostly on your receiver.

This can differ between individual receivers, even though most receivers will have a minimum range of about 300-500mtrs for sure.

  • @joshuamelvin In regards to range, the main reason they don't release it is that there are so many factors that contribute to a loss of signal issue. They don't want to put a statement on the box that can easily be misinterpreted.

  • Great job again guys. I plodded into work knowing my prize slow stick is hanging, as I type, from the top of the tallest tree in my front yard. Then I saw the notification that flitetest had released a new video. :) While I'm still wondering how the heck I'm going to get the thing down...I get to crack a smile and forget about it for a while!

  • Nice video and nice radio, I know I have one. :)

  • you guys are awesome !!!!!!

  • Good show again guys,
