@robslater90 What time do you think i should get in the crowd in an attempt to reach the barrier in time for Muse? I havent been to a festival since 2004 so would be nice to hear some tips as this will be the last time to hear every Origins song in one show.
@MrGeewiz1 Well there's always going to be people who get the the main stage really early (when the first lot of bands start) and stay there ages, but the majority don't do that, My main tip is to make sure you move forward when bands finish as that's when alot of people go for a drink, food or to the toilet. Also make sure you are at the main stage about 2 bands (at least) before Muse. I'm also looking forward to hearing every Origins song, What's your favourite off that album?
@robslater90 yeah thats what i had in mind about moving forwards between bands, i dont really know much about the othe bands but i've met and seen Elbow before so it isnt too bad. I dont want to leave the crowd when i need a piss so will have to take a few empty bottles or something lol. Probs Hyper Music as i feel that song is the theme of the album as they just let go in that album but i know New Born is a great song live esp on the build up from piano to guitar. What about you?
@MrGeewiz1 Haha fair enough! My favourite is Citizen Erased, that is just such an amazing song to me, it has everything in it, it's heavy and beautiful at the same time. I'm really looking forward to the songs that haven't been played live (not recently anyway) aswell.
@robslater90 Yeah i agree about citizen erased. It doesnt sound the same live anymore though to me anyway as there less energetic onstage and it makes the song look more relaxed and less intense. I hope they play Dead Star, In Your World and Agitated as they were OOS era aswell. I'de love them to play some Showbiz as we'll probs never hear them either. Darkshines will be epic esp the solo.
@MrGeewiz1 HAH! what are you seeing? That song still owns but when you get older you start to think to yourself. I gotta stop jumping on Dom's drum kits or smashing guitars around. The reading and Leeds festival brought them back though. I have heard them since Showbiz and I do love all the Showbiz-Absolution Era. BH&R was good too but not like the first three albums they created. Hullabaloo CD owns all of their CDs tho imo
@promathia1 Sorry but what do you mean what am i seeing? Yeah true they more likely to respect each others equipment as they get more mature but they have so much money it won't bother them so much plus i felt like at times in their Resistance tour they wanted to get back their old school way style they had 10yrs ago onstage. Yeah i agree their first 3 albums were by far their best.
also love this part of the song... and this live performance was just excellent! but the whole song Darkshines is amazing, love the lyrics, his voice in it and everything! MUUUUUSE!!!
He performs solos so easily I wish I could play even half as good as he does
