  • That was remarkable. Though I shouldn't at all be surprised, watch a young horse stand for the first time and you see how amazing we all are!

  • Wow, I never knew this, either. But we shouldn't be amazed, since we have the most excellent Creator!!

"I will give thanks to You,

For I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

    Your works are wonderful.

My soul knows that very well." [Psalm 139:14]

  • Medication takes away the babies extincts since the baby is basically drugged out. So this wont work if you had an Epidural. I personally am going to give natural birth.

  • this is beautiful. i never knew of this. this indeed will help me when i am ready to have kids

  • So beautiful. I am in tears. <3 I exclusively breastfed both of my children, but I sincerely wish that I would have let them initiate breastfeeding. <3 Beautiful baby.

  • so cute... i wished my kids had this :((

  • i would of done this with my daughter id I knew about, next time!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful! Wish I'd known to do this with my baby, it definitely would've made nursing in those early days a lot easier! Why so many people standing around watching and getting in the way tho?

  • That was amazing! =) I nursed both my children, and will nurse the one I'm carrying as well. I want to try this out, it was just so awesome to see the baby do this all on it's own. Mother Nature truly is remarkable. :)

  • For far too long, women were removed from the correct way to give birth and care for her newborn; male doctors always thought they knew the best way to do it all. We women know the best way to give birth and feed the baby, our bodies tell us what to do and each movement serves a purpose. Happily, mothers are able to take a lead role in how they give birth.

  • That nipple is freakin nuts!!!

  • she like watz that let me taste...... uh uh tha thatz a boob

  • yes they do

  • OMG THEY ACTUALLY SHOWED BOOBS ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!!

  • @Dalton115856 Oh you can show boobs on YouTube. Just not Facebook. ;P

  • Wow, that was amazing... That a newborn can make it's way to the breast & start feeding all on it's own. It totally makes sense about the legs massaging the uterus & helping to expel the afterbirth too...great video.

  • yeah thats good points here.. in usa they take the baby from mother put FAR away in nursery.. thats wicked

  • You are right, medications takes away baby's instincts.

  • @maggieyyl

yes i was often curious about this because it seems all animals can instinctively breast feed. So why cant humans??? it is all the medicines that basically stop their senses? or instict. I understand now

  • I understand that it's much less likely to happen if the mother received an epidural during birth, or if the baby is separated from the mother after birth...

I'm looking forward to doing this in 6 months :)

  • @krazykrisia I had to have a c-section and had no problems breast feeding.

  • @PersephonesPomegrnte Congratulations on your baby and successful breastfeeding. In my comment, I didn't mean the actual breastfeeding, I meant the crawl to the breast. I realise that many people who have had epidurals or c-sections, or have been separated from their babies after birth breastfeed successfully. I was commenting on this phenomenon of the newborn baby actually crawling to and seeking out the breast and latching on.

  • Beautiful! Amazing! :0)

  • this is so amazing I'm totally doing this with my next baby

  • That was soooo intense! Hahahahaha! YAY MOTHER NATURE AKA GOD!!!!

  • That's the baby's instinct, every baby can do that.

  • @maggieyyl

Not true that "every baby" can do that, Most un-medicated babies not separated from mom after birth can do that ;)

  • How did i got here? ... Beautiful Vid thoo n_n

  • @babymiley11

I was thinking that. i was looking at Coupons, women saving money on coupons, keeping coupons, and the next thing I saw this video clicked it. but what the hell does this have to do with coupons

  • @WonderWomanFan4life Lmfao ikr xD

  • I had no idea they could do that!

We are too removed from nature in America we need to turn back

  • awwwwww

  • I love the cheer when the baby starts sucking!

  • this is a great reason to breastfeed - just imagine the benefits!

  • It takes a village!

  • Amazing!

It's absolutely beautiful, how instinct! I love it!

  • do the nipples always turn this dark after giving birth?

  • @ToNaYy1124 no, it depends on the mother's natural pigmentation

  • @ToNaYy1124 The nipples get darker throughout the pregnancy. Also the size of breasts, nipples, and aureolas might being larger as well.

  • @Zergii I've heard recently that it is nature's way to make the nipple a "target" for baby to seek out. Everything about birth is just incredible. This video is beautiful.

  • @ToNaYy1124

I think they turn dark during pregnancy.

  • that baby looks like steve irwin

  • Beautiful!!! The reason we have breasts!!

  • It's not the nipple that is big, it's the baby that is small, stupid!

  • Wow, that was amazing. It's so interesting how instinct kicks in.

  • That is absolutely beautiful! My own little girl could do the most amazing acrobatics as a new born when placed on my stomach to get to my nipples for a feed. It's just incredible, really, and I'm glad this video exists as I'm sure many people wouldn't believe it had they not seen it!

  • most warming thingiv seen all day that just warmrd my heart

  • my god poor woman having all those ppl standing around her like guards i would feel so uncomfortable.....the baby though its amazing how they can know what to do!!

  • i agree! it's so ridiculous! and not very favorable for the bonding process! the baby and the mother should be allowed to have some peace and quiet and some privacy! one person at the bedside to help with the placenta and to be at hand if the mother needs something is more then plenty enough! the process itself is amazeing and fascinating. <3

  • Absolutely amazing :)

  • Amazingly simple...if we just had the patience to wait 10 minutes and trust it will happen. Too often there is a rush to make it happen without waiting for the natural ques to develop!

  • dumbass

  • beautiful

  • very moving. the life force in infants is so strong! the mother-infant diad is the foundation of all human civilization. let's protect it!

  • amazing! I like how they let the baby find it on her own. Good job lil girl.

  • beautiful video!

  • Thank you, a simple, informative & nicely shown video.

  • Beautiful, wish I could have done that when my son was born.

  • Sem palavras..............

  • the baby is so cute...i wish m=i n my girlfriend can hv 1

  • I saw this on WHO's website, it's beautiful! Babies are so amazing!

  • go mom's to all that breatfeed the baby.

  • it's amazing how their rooting instincts sets in!

  • Oh my god! That is so beautiful! I never knew that could happen! Babies are stronger than I thought! And that baby is so precious and beautiful, I hope she's doing well today ;)

  • Wow! How beautiful is that. Such a precious bond between a mother and her baby.

  • Aww...

  • lol what u expect shes jus given birth then abt ten men surrounding her n the whole village bt wht i dnt undastand is how she agreed lol

  • it's a normal physiologic response, dear...

  • i observed that all moms are so happy after delivering their babies..let alone the firstborn! thats why i was surprised by her reaction..

  • shes probley worried she cant care for it as much

  • yes, indeed...!!!

For some reason, I always feel very touched when I see a new born baby - not to mention watching the baby and the mother sharing their lives together so intimately.

    Life is such a miracle!

  • Awesome! There is no way to improve on mother nature.

    Mom of 5 breastfed children
