Gotta love the idiots who are saying they "love" the American Samurai Megazord and "hate" the Shinken-Oh version but if it were brought over they would "love" it (but would still say the American toy version is better). Hypocrites.

Luckily I got an bootleg Shinkenoh which is 90% the same as the original. The only differences I have noticed is: the pegs on the front of the lion are black instead of red and the arms are differently colored. The turtle is silver and monkey is gold. Now what was I doing here again? O yes I wanted to search how the Battlewing Megazord forms without the pegs I mentioned earlier lol

@carden7775 I know this is 4 months later, but since Samurai is still on, I thought I would mention. He might have figured it out by now though. Anyway, the sword is actually the tail to the Dragon Zord. With the Curve of teh sword facing up it inserts into the back for the tail

Was at toys r us in Olympia Wa while visiting since we font hace a toys r us in Bellingham Wa. While i was at toys r us i discovered magabloks power rangers samurai so i bought the blue dragon zord set for $14.99 loved it and went back to buy the megazord and finished building it after a couple hours of effort and I gotta say this megazord is one to get if your focus is articulation and detail :) I love it!

Bland coloring aside, I prefer the US combined version's more svelte, agile-looking legs. The Japanese version just looks chunky in comparison. Sad to say, but this really pales in comparison to a similarly-priced Transformer combiner set from Hasbro. It's a shame that the two companies can't get together produce a special edition figure.

Honestly, I wish I would have watched this before buying this. It's the first megazord I've bought (not counting the 2010 megazord) since Zeo, and I have naturally assumed it's the same toy for the sentai series. It's bad enough the yellow ranger gets a fucking monkey, but it doesn't even turn into it's origami mode. I thought it would have been cool to use it as a keychain or something.

But I can't imagine why you didn't mention It combines with the 2010 megazord. That's totally morphinominal.

@carden7775 the whole in the back of the Dragon Zord (the blue one) is for the tail of the dragon. The sword that the Megazord comes with inserts into the back. The hilt goes in and the point is out. Thus you have a tail!

snake= wont do the wiggly thing and mouth wont move lack of paint details

tiger= missing paint no moving wheels and the silver paint on the head will be nothing but yellow

shark= eyes arent fully painted no silver on the head at all and the fin missle thing is not colored

just look at what they did with shinkenger blue and green dont have painted kanji its just black

see my only issue with the America's version of the toy is the lack of paint and the dragon zord in my opinion the origami mode looks bad because of how the toy is and how it transforms. but in the japanese version it looks way to chubby.

Thank God my mom got me the megazords for Christmas when I was 9 or I would sitting here right now thinking of what could've been XD I treasure it because of that.

I agree that the Samurai Megazord has had one of THE WORST BOA treatments I've seen. But I see that we will get the Ebi Origami soon in the form of Clawzord, and from what I see it's a pretty good Translation I actually can't wait for it.

I also just made the connection in Ebi Origami's name. Ebi is a homage to Ebirah from the Godzilla series

Well you can't complain to Saban about the toys, this dog crap belongs to Bandai America. Though I've yet to see Samurai, I've heard it's bad.. I'm hoping it's due to budget otherwise, I'll be sorely disappointed in Saban since, you know, they gave us MMPR, Zeo, Turbo, Space and (I believe) Lost Galaxy.

When you think about it we always get the knock offs lol when it comes to Power rangers toys. For example the mighty morphin power rangers morpher when compared to the Zyurangers it was cool but at the same time not good because the Zyurangers version had the clip to clip it on your belt not to mention they have the dragon ranger's morpher.They didn't even have green ranger power coin.

I really don't see the point of comparing the American and the Japanese versions. Of course the Japanese version is going to be better! There's vary little the Japanese DON'T do better when it comes to toys. It's just worthless to compare the two they are on two VASTLY different levels.

Review's good, but it's the same case every time an American toy is compared to it's Japanese counterpart. Want a good example? Compare ROTF Leader Prime and Japanese Leader Buster Prime.

Yeah, can anyone actually explain WHY they don't just release the Japanese mechs with less paint? They used to do that. Collectors didn't like the paint apps but that's just them being picky. I just got my Shinken-Oh! can't believe I even considered getting the American version. I also got it from Yahoo Japan, way cheaper than Amazon! You can even get it used if you want for even cheaper. But i got my baby brand new! It's so much better in almost every way. Except the blade of the sword only has characters on one side for the Shinken-Oh. But that don't matter much.
