Matt smith reminds me of Chris. They are both so edgy and quirky. Tennant was brilliant and really added to the show, but Matt and Chris.... they are so unique and such aquired tastes that I simply appreciate them more.

I loved Christopher's Doctor, He was much more serious an moody, he gave another side to the Doctor instead of just a love story between him an the assistant. I think he was my favorite Doctor just ahead of David. I wish he did do another series it would of been great, and i love his honesty about not being a Doctor Who fan growing up :)

@darkmachete I've been uneasy about each of the three new Doctors. I got into it recently, I watched through Series 1 and I loved the close-minded Chris. When I finally saw Tennant, I thought, great - look at this pansy. Tasting blood, not knowing who he is, psh - Chris was way cooler than this guy. Then he was great. When I saw the pictures for Matt, I thought, "Look at this emo kid." ...and then I started eating fish fingers and custard :D. Cheers to many great Doctors!

I met Christopher Ecclestone in a bar on Oxford Road in Manchester a couple of years back. He'd finished in Doctor Who and had his beard growing for his role as the Invisible Man in Heroes, he basically said he quit cos he didnt want to become type-cast. Altho its a pity cos personally I really liked him, then again we might never have gotten to see David Tennant as the Doctor if he hadnt left and hes phenomenal. So its all good :)

I thought Chris was perfect. He was a perfect blend of all of the Doctors who came before him. He's not pretty like David, but I thought he was quite fit, manly and handsome. Missed him, althugh David was wonderful.

Fantastic! And for those of you who are wobbling between Tennant and Eccelston, think on this. His home was destroyed in his eighth incarnation , so he hasn't had a lot of time to get over the loss, that why CE has a more serious, slightly sadder personality than Tennant. In his 10th role, he has had some closure, dealing with his past, not to mention Rose has helped soothe his pain quite a bit. I'm slightly put off by the fact that they had to add the whole romance thing in.

GOOD Job with the video. And for d guys here who really love Christopher as the best doctor...I agree. His way of acting and strong accent makes him one of the best actors who can fit into any role they want to do. If you look at the movies he starred in, they really show how good he is. Unfortunately, they can't bring him back for awhile to Doctor Who, since he will star in GI Joe in 2009 as a villain, but to those who wants to see him act in the future...den watch en w8 d new heroes dis sept!!

I think, Jackalman, that CE didn't want to get typecast in the role - hardly a surprise when Tom Baker et al are now universally referred to as "former Doctor Who".

Personally I think Eccleston didn't do himself justice in quitting after just one series - he has a breadth of acting skill and experience that would see him remembered for a variety of roles, like Peter Davison. Compare his work here with his role in "Let Him Have It".

Just like to point out that you really can't judge David Tennant on any one performance, you have to look at other ones and compare, because the factnis, he literally *can* do anything. I swear, I nearly pissed myself in Secret Smile. And Takin' over the Asylum was just...a masterpiece. Oh, and whoever made the Casanova comment, you have no idea what you are on about!
