  • shit your a dumbass... just ride the fn horse...........

  • this really helped!

    thanks

  • Whoa you have a long discription! I have a horse named Snickers! I LOVE him!!!!! Okay bye!

  • thanks this is a litle helpful!

  • It's a good video on position and all, it's just at the beginning of the video that riders legs were being thrown around a lot and she seemed to be leaning forward int he saddle too much.

I'm not one to judge, I'm just curious as the why the instructor didn't pick this up as she was riding.

  • that horse is huge!

    hes so cute!

  • that horse is a giant

  • the beggining intro was not too bad..its like you've never done any of those things before? if you think its so bad, make a video yourself. (egasser888) It's a good video to show riders correct elbow conformation.

  • umm egasserd8888 there telling what NOT to do in the beginning of the video dummy

  • The footage at the beginning of the video is horrid. How can a person ride such a beautiful horse on the forehand , completly collapsed on the forehand? it is awful , does not do justice to the horse, just ruin the poor horse and later one you will find croockeness, joints problem, back problem , just irresponsible. I just wonder why anyone would choose such video as their intro ? the rider in the intro has windshield wipper legs, jumping hands , DEFINITELY NEEDS TO WATCH THE VIDEOS GOOD GRIEF !

  • This is the best reining video I've encountered yet. I think for most people it's hard to understand what sitting "down" in the saddle means but the mechanics of it all in your video I think gives a lot of clarity to it.

  • Solid info. I think of it as you also you are using your strong biceps and big back muscles in a direct line to exert force to the bit and not wasting exerted force on pushing and pulling the reins in other directions.

  • Help me, I have short arms!!!

  • wat bout short arm leggs thts not fair lol

  • me too! i have short arms and legs, plus im only 5ft 4 and get given 16 hh horses, that are a lot of the time a bit on the chubby side lol

  • my trainer said to ride with you elbowas way way back

  • thats way way wrong

    lol jk

  • mabey you had ur arms to far forward without realising?

my instructure told me to lean back because i was leaning forwards wen i first started, but i was actually in the right place wen i did lol

  • woah! i tried some of your tips! it really works! thanks!

  • i want that horse!

  • Hey, this video was very helpful. Gonna work on that arm/elbow thing tomorrow. Thanks!

  • THAT HORSE IS TALL!!

  • He sure is! Or maybe the trainer is small? =]

  • I'll try that..

  • Good tip. I'll remember it when I ride tomorrow.

  • if that womans 5'8 that horse is way over 16.2 and probly over 17. Id guess hes almost 18hh, Im 5'9 and ride a 17.2 WB and can see over his back. just a guess.

  • such a beatuiful horse~

  • I love Wendy's book: Simplify your Riding. She obviously is extremely knowledgable and continues the Centered Riding evolution.

  • Howie is gorgeous. *drools* Given Miss Murdoch is 5'8'', he's about 16.2-17 hands. warmblood?

  • my riding instructors tell me 2 put my hands down and forward -especially when im in 2 point/jumping position- o.0 ........ T-T

  • How tall is that horse?!

  • I always have my arms straight and its the worst habit but i do try to stop it. like i bend my arms and it helps my horse get on the bit so much easier.

  • wow...thanxs thats rly helpful. i always put my hands forward. i never knew that it could affect u like that. my instructor keeps telling me to pull my arms back a little but i never knew wat he ment..now i kno...

  • thanks! thats useful! i put my hand forwards!

  • crap...how big is that horse???

  • isn't it funny that this is titled "a murdoch minute" when is is acually three and a half minutes. Very good tip lol, my instructer does that pulling the reins from the ground thing as well.

  • That is great a great tip. I tend to put my hands to far forward, but I'm trying to fix it.

  • this is a very nice tip i need with my pony

  • That woman in pink shirt is funny as....
