I think its really nice that people are able to adopted orphaned monkeys, but only as long as they are able to have proper access to outside spaces in places like Australia or Africa. I hope Lui grows up strong, good luck!
It is nice that you took in a mother-less orphan monkey, but you don't have to showcase him like a puppet. He should be treated as your brother/sister/close friend. It is nice to be different and have something different like a monkey or a ferret, but they aren't just pets, they're family. It seems as though the only reason you adopted him, is because you want yourselfs to be "different", and stick out.
@TheKirstybennett How terrible is that though? They get brought up with humans when they shouldn't,then when their normal monkey behaviour becomes too much for us ignorant humans to handle they get dumped in a sanctuary because they'd never survive in the wild because of HUMANS! Then we end up with sanctuaries stuffed with animals that have emotional scars that will never heal!
no offense but those cute little monkeys belong in the jungle with their mothers nd family not wearing a diaper nd playing wit baby toys....its ashame they dont get 2 live a normal life....very cute thou
@GtzFin3stChick21 yes in the jungle where they will live an ave of 3 yrs before being bitten by a poisonous snake.. living a life of fleas and infections from uncared for cuts and such... but in all honesty i know very little of the critters just familiar with the overall stereotyping we do to animals...
@GtzFin3stChick21 oh boo hoo. yeah its so horrible that it was taken out of an environment where it was exposed to harsh elements, disease, and poachers and placed into a superloving environment. whats natural? dont u realize that human beings were once jungle dwellers but we realized it was better indoors. we are pretty much the same as monkeys genetically so anything we enjoy about being inside they probably will too. everything u think of as "unnatural" is just as unnatural for as as them.
After mine passed away at age 32 that was passed down from my dad. I want another one. It's basically raising a child. So if you dont want to get someone to have kids with, Get a monkey.
@OneTufVato like you said in the comment if you dont want kids then get a monkey thats what am doing am waiting till am 18 to get one my birthday on 7th october carnt wait but theres rumors that you need a liaence to get one is that true but either way am getting one

Having a monkey as a pet is a really terrible, it's illegal in many countries/states and even where it's legal a monkey requires A LOT of money and time, space for a huge cage and a specialized vet.
Just don't do it. Buy a smart dog if you really need a pet.
for all the ppl who say they want one it is hard work you cant just a monkey because they are cute they cost alot of money, time and care you need a big cage and a primate vet and good training or they can get aggressive if your lower than 18 yrs old dont get one! your parents wont buy you one anyway they are not show off pets they are like a child they live up to 40 years and if you have kids you wont have time for them so really think about it b4 getting one
@TheRealAmyMaldonado Your right there not a dog you cant leave them alone while you go shopping but the cage thing really depends usually people with tame monkeys buy a tiny dog bed of some sort and put the bed on theres and price depends too some people are selling them for 1,000 or less others are sellinf 4,000 each.
@TheRealAmyMaldonado -- i agree u would need heaps of time to care for it.......thats why i wish i was smart cause id become one of them ppl in a zoo or animal care centre that when lil lost/motherless monkeys like him come in u raise them till they can go back to the wild or into the zoo with others of there kind......ya get to have close time with them and all but once there strong enough they get to start there new life and u get ya free time back LOL
@TheRealAmyMaldonado holy, mabey people just want one istead of a kid cuz they cant have a kid, or mabey they are older and can handle a monkey, dont judge man!
@TheRealAmyMaldonado Yeah, lock it up in a cage just like a mini prison! They get aggressive because they're not happy and should be with their own kind in the wild! Humans won't be happy until they've totally wiped out every species to extinction!
@FallenFaith1 really, humans wont be happy till we wipe out every animal? yeah you are totally right, let me get back to the board meeting about how to make the earth unlivable for profit. thats what i do at my giant corporation, thats how we make money, if u destroy the environment money falls from god. its amazing. even though mankind has only been responsible for thousands of species disappearing when there are millions it doesnt matter, we are almost there! only 29,990,000 to go!
@FallenFaith1 you do understand that basically every suingle species that ever evolved on this planet is gone. all of them.if you go back 200 million years there are basically nothing that survived, some sharks have and some rats that we probably evolved from, but basically everything goes my friend. and guess what? they all went away without the help of the stupid humans that have split that atom traveled to the moon and are about to start exploring the galaxy. why do u hate ur race? seems dumb
This is the cutest animal on the planet. What state do you live in and do you need any permits? I really wanted a Capuchin but the state i live in makes it illegal.
that is cute and everything but i think that people who get monkeys only get them because they cant have kids themselves, thats why they put diapers on them and put clothes on them too
yeah...thats kind of what i thought too, i mean its pratically like rasing a child : ( poor people, but i guess theyre happy with him hes awfully beautiful, take of him....and dont eat him lol ^_^ sorry...got that from....Drake & Josh HAHA!!! XD
i dont like all the clothes they are putting on him, not right but doesnt seem any different friom having a dog or bird, birds are kept in cages when they should be in the wild at least monkeys relate to humans and have similar needs, like one of the family lol
What about when they get old? When I was a kid, I saw a 48-year-old monkey just like that. Except for that he was bald and his fags crossed. Bless his monkey soul.
they dont really stop... the reason they where them is so there crap doesnt go evrywhere.. its by choice if u want ur monkeys crap all over u and the house then dont make ur monkey where a diaper.
having a monkey as pet is not a bad thing... and some people need this monkeys to help them with the things that they cannot do themselves. this people are not doing anything bad to the baby monkey, its actually amazing how much love they have for him

This is just so sad. I'm sorry if you couldn't conceive or something but this little monkey isn't your child. Watching this is actually very depressing...
I agree. While it's clear they love their little monkey, this is a complex creature that should be in the wild with it's own kind. The "humanizing" of creatures is one of the most deplorable things humans do. The clothes, the way they talk to it, to me it's utterly depressing. Imagine forcing a child to live the rest of it's life with gorillas or creatures it can't relate to. This is what we have with Lui.
Hey does anyone have a clue should monkeys be caged or not? I was just curious about the pro and cons of what would happen if you keep a capucchin monkey in a cage. I myself have also done research but most of it is like where they come from and how they live. Is there anyone know information about having them for a lifetime companion please help I am always open to learn more about these adorable Capucchins!!!!
OMG he is so cute and adorable is just like a baby i think is better i love it i want one he looks so cute with is little tiny close on him i think i instead of having a baby im better adopt a little monkey
aww, he's is so adorable=] ,im looking to buy a monkey, i have the right equitment but how are they to get to sleep & do they get costophobic if you put them to sleep in a cage ,
Lui is so precieous! I am still in primate research mode. Going on 1 year 4 months of researching pro's & con's of bringing a monkey member into our family. Lost to learn still. How is your experience going?
Your new grandson? WTF? Sounds like your parents must be monkeys because that sure isn't a human baby you asshole.
