When i saw him play this last he dedicated it to a lady whom he had met in a lift (elevator) in New York. Her name was Lois. It was an uplifting tale with a sad ending which raised a large gasp from the audience.

When he was 13 or so, Glen dropped out of school to play music on the streets of Dublin. When the movie "Once" opens, his character is doing just that - busking. You can look it up in Wiki.

Yeah, is was so cool. The show inside was amazing. Generally artists play only a couple songs from their albums at these shows... they played just about a full set with great interaction with the crowd. So fortunate to be able to see them at such an intimate venue.
