Yeah I do. Your tapping hand will get calluses the same way your left did, so at first if you do too much tapping your fingers will get sore.

1. This is more of an example than a riff you should use all the time.

2. If you do it with 1 finger you'll be jumping everywhere.

Hard to answer that, i've been playing 5 years, never really tried to do the 8 fingers until around the time these video's were posted. If you're new at guitar, don't worry about it, get the basics down first. If you can already tap, work with tapping with each finger for a while before trying to use all.

I'd say after I started TRYING to work on tapping it probably took a few months until I could do this. But again, I started at the 4 1/2 year mark.

This is a great lesson. I have come up with a few ways to practice it but, you have some good ones. It's a lot for me to improvise with a technique When my fingers are fluid it. I know how to break down. I just didn't have a great way practice it. I on;y have a good way. Great is better. Thanks for sharing with us.

Its tapping, its using 8 fingers.

Basically 8 finger tapping.

Impressive but not even close to the definition of 8 finger tapping. You're simply using all 8 fingers to complete a series of more basic tap sequences. 8 finger tapping is a 4 finger arpeggio from the left hand followed by a 4 finger arpeggio from the right then ascends back through both arpeggios in reverse. concurrently. Basically nobody on youtube is actually doing true 8 finger taps.

The 7-8 finger patterns don't sound as intense/fast but more lavish and fantasy like so the good thing is, they stray from the video game sound since they're so spread out.

So if you're doing it right, the patterns ARE impossible to do with just the left hand lol
