Since one of it's modes looks terrible, it's not really any better than the deluxe figures because they had the same problem - for them, it's their human modes, for this, it's the scorpion mode.

Though it does have the advantage of not having to look like anything recognisable in alien mode.

makes for a good axe action figure, though, if you don't transform it ever. which is okay because ax rarely used morphs in battle.

aximili (ax-im-ill-ee). good review. good to see animorphs given some attention, even if the toyline doesn't really deserve it. the books are phenomenal though.

not only is the scorpion mode dum its also inaccurate a real scorpion has 6 legs and 2 claws this has 8 legs and 2 claws. fail.

Chuck Testa couldn't even make it look halfway decent. I also like how it's chest becomes the scorpion tail and not the, oh I don't know, SCORPION TAIL ALREADY ON THE ALIEN HORSE BODY!!!!! What were they thinking?!?

I have done some modding to this figure. I've fused several of the panels so it no longer transforms, but I re-did the Andalite mode arms, feet and head. If you split the tail, it looks very little like an actual Andalite, but infinitely cooler. Definitely get if you're into kit-bashing.

Speaking of the Andelites, I never did have the Yellow and Black one, but I did remember having this Blue Scorpion one and another Red one that turned into a monster of some kind.
