This is a fine sounding amp--much more organic than the 'El Cheapo' amps costing under a grand.

So many choices these days--so difficult to make a buying decision--so much to consider.

This doesn't make any sense. Any gear grognard puts tone first. This is very suprising considering the intent of your channel

For sure you should use a mic. A simple still photo with good audio will far surpass a vid with poor audio.

I love the the dirty raw-honest tone when you take the volume pot up and the master volume down.

Can't wait to see/listen how this jaguar twin sound with singel-coils as well. It had a great clean tone too. I have to agree, this is a great amplifier demo with "humbuckis" and not a mic demo.

You might have been accustomed to the "air" that a distant mic picks up (the ambience of the room) but this is good! Just make sure that you experiment with different mic placements and that you adjust the gain of the mic preamp to avoid clipping (clearly audible in some parts of the video).

You might also want to try a good ribbon mic - in my opinion they are the absolute best for miking amps.

The new mic set-up really sounds great gearman!!! I just got the Epi So Cal50 with EL34's after years of only 6L6 based amps and really dig it, EL34's R 'da bomb!!! And that Jaguar Twin sounds fantastic, can't wait to hear some pedal reviews thru it!!!
