I run Nib m16 carriers in all my carbines I build and love them...though you can I wouldn't recommend running them completely dry. Metal on metal always likes a little lube regardless NiB or not. Not a fan of the shiny exterior of the NiB upper.
I'm a big fan of the carrier groups and have them in all my guns. It really is best to run them dry so nothing sticks. The only issue I have with the receivers and I think they would sell more if they accommodated it, would be to finish the exterior normally and just treat inside. .02
Just go ahead and send it off to me...Everythings fine...Our economies going great!! Theres no threat here...I'll gladly take it off your hands sir!! Heck...I'll even send you my standard as a replacement...LOL...Looks sweet man! If i had the money--I'd TOTALLY get one of these!! I like NOT having to have oil for a shtf scenario (God forbid that ever occurs)
I think Fail Zero is going to revolutionized the Ar system that it can match the Ak as a mud gun. Also if you consider a 6.8 mm SPC caliber, then close combat with a AK would be of equal power but has better accuracy for longer yards
If you are using a gas piston then there's no need for a fail zero coated bolt carrier. But if you plan on using a suppressor then Fail Zero is recommended due to gas blowback caused by a suppressor.
@LordStickMax I believe Fail Zero is going to be plating the carrier of the OPS kit I believe. I am going to be installing the kit on another AR or build one from parts have not desided yet.
I was always down on AR's until for being too small until I realized you can put a .308 barrel on them.

When you actually clean it does it extend the life even longer then not cleaning it?
CGeren2 1 week ago
@CGeren2 I clean it every 500 rounds or so now and it is some tuff stuff that is easy to clean....

No AR needs a gas piston. The linear "floating" BCG isn't designed for it

how much is it?

@693tanner The Basic Kit carrier bolt etc and hammer is $250 the upper is $150. It is not cheep but they are all true Mil spec parts that work.

@gunskniveswatches i dont think its expensive at ll considering all the pros you get with it.

Does the new LWRC M6 rifle have the same coating from Fail Zero?
willo216 1 year ago
I don't think you could make my rifle work any better, it hasn't jammed in over 4000 rounds. I still might try one of these bolt carriers next time.

Whats "lubricity" ?
darwinfoto09 1 year ago
@darwinfoto09 An Eng, term refering to the lack of friction between two surfaces.

Interesting two-tone color. It would look even more bad-ass with a stainless-steel magazine and barrel!

@Transporter1022 That sounds sick, that is a great idea.
gunskniveswatches 1 year ago
@Transporter1022 you can have the gun painted over the zerofail i think and it will still do its job
iagui004 1 year ago
yeah, all you need now is a pof roller cam, and maybe a gas piston and you don't get more relyable then that.
LordStickMax 1 year ago
@LordStickMax My next build will be a Fail Zero OPS-416 kit with a POF roller cam pin. You were reading my mind. All they have to do is produce it.
gunskniveswatches 1 year ago
@gunskniveswatches i suppose the only road block is the bolt isn't like fail zeros with the push plate for the piston.

I did not know if I was going to Duracoat it, I kind of like the 2 tone on the AR.
