  • You rock dude!! You should be called Mr. Ian Duffy Wyse Tempesta!!

  • Hey bro I am impressed. You are pretty talented and creative. I have adobe premier pro but I have yet to do anything with it. After watching this I think I will jump into it and stop using garage band. Maybe i can post something up as a response to this video. Thanks for sharing your talents with us man, you have motivated me. Peace

  • Great cover considering it's a one man show! Instrumentals are good but think for the vocals, Simon Cowell would say something like 'drunken karaoke' ;D Enthusiasm helps a lot, though, heh. Thumbs up for me.

  • 7 people don't know what great rock is!

  • THIS GUYS AWESOME

  • This totally rocks. This should be played to kids to get them into learning as many instruments as they can. And to middle aged musicians who sit around at home doing nothing waiting for the rest of the band to show up.

Bass is rocking out big time after 4:00.

  • Great!!! You Rock dude!!! :))

  • Looks like so much fun!

  • I'm actually quite impressed, a few dodgy vocal bits but not through lack of confidence, just needs polishing as some of the vocal phrasings are fab but yeah I am actually quite chuffed watching this. Plenty of guts that's for sure.

  • That is really good, wish I could play just one instument that well. Keep up the great work.

  • me my self and i...haha!good work man..one band, you dont need no one!!and again GOOD WORK!

  • You definitely nailed this one. Well done

  • This is an GREAT COVER!! Well done sir!!!

  • yeah it does help thanks for the fast reply! zGonna get brave here and try it soon.

  • This totally rocks man. Awesome performance. Amazed you did it with Adobe, I do my audio in Sonar and then import the mixed stereo track into my video software (I use Vegas). Would let you tighten stuff up a bit. Still great job!

  • As this is one of my all time favourite songs, I was expecting to be disappointed but shit man! you did a great job! Also fanstastic clip too - creative without being gimmicky - top job! Nice to see us "older dudes" can still rock!!!

  • You obviously recorded the arts seperately then combined them. what software did you you? I have Garage Band and Imovie HD. also how the heck did you get the "4 screen video"? was it difficult to synch the video parts with the audio? or did you just tack the "last take" and overlay it onto the video project? Any help would be apreciated....Dr. Bill

  • I use Adobe Premier Elements 7, which supports multiple video tracks. The video for this was shot while recording the tracks. I use the audio from the camcorder on the various tracks to align each video track; yes this can be difficult. Mix down the music and import into Elements, aligning it to the other audio tracks, then drop out the audio from the video tracks. I can place any video track anywhere on the screen by reducing the track window size and reposition. I hope this helps!

  • I like the man who rock out on bass!!

  • dude.. YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Holy crap! Awesomeness! Keep it up bro

  • Sick one...

  • best quad band ever nailed it . i'm in awe

  • Fucking sick man! \m/

  • ROCK ON!!!!!!!!

  • Wow, that's a lot of time and energy just to cover a [awesome] song mate, that's serious passion!! If I really have to suggest something [yeah, like I'm in the position! :D ], I'd try a lil more aggressive take on the vocals, but I mean just a lil bit. Mind you the cover as is is a 10/10 for me, the voice thing is for the laude! :D

    Rock on mate!

  • Great Voice Sir! Funny Cover!

  • Great Job dude!

  • F*@! yeah!! Nice job!!!

  • 5 people are jealous because they can't do these 4 things, lol

  • Duuuude, hahaha, this is fucking awesome with a capital mother fucker .. excellent man :)

  • you legitimately love music and have taken the time and effort to get all of that equipment and hone your craft, you are legit bro

  • Wow!That was a-FUCKIN'-mazing!Now I'm on fire!

  • Great i like it

  • any chance you can send me a video teaching me the bass part of this song? i would really like to learn it and i know a few guys that would like to cover this one

  • @sweettoof I could probably breakout the bass part into a separate video and send it to you if that would help. I also searched the internet for fire woman bass tab and got some hits. Try that and the results from bassmasta should be able to help.

  • @Collector8679 That's quite a complement, thanks!

  • Marvelous! Wish I play the instruments like you do! Congrats, man!

  • @ThiagoHara Thank you!

  • Love it!! Do some Pantera!!!!!

  • @HoosierDaddy16 - Thanks for you appreciation and question. Actually all of the musicians are the same dude... me! Check out my other videos. For now the only guest appearance by another musician is the drummer in the Ozzy video.

  • man, this is incredible. all the one man bands need to be more famous! :P but great job!

  • @poopy1239 Fame is elusive for a one-person band. But YouTube has been an awesome environment to jam and receive feedback. Thanks!

  • this is great cover...love it

  • @lithium010686 Thanks!

  • your voice would cover def leppard also.

  • @cabeloDoPardal2 - You are very kind, thanks! I am attempting to cover Rock of Ages, but have plenty of work to do on it... especially the vocals.

  • I enjoyed that........ rehearsed it last night for the first time!

  • @trigmachine - I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I do! Are you going to get to play it out?

  • @ThePaulyChannel - should get it played by the end of feb/march just putting a new band and set list together, i've wanted to play this live for years so a few more weeks wont make much difference

  • But where is the bass ? ;)

  • Super cool!

  • THIS IS HILARIOUSLY GENIUS!!!!!! THIS DUDE IS AMAZING!!!!.....Wow, I was laughing my ass off but at the same time jealous of his skills.......He plays like a mofo....Being a middle aged fat man is kool now! IM back in style!!! lmao....Nicely done bro

  • right after that solo you showed that bass who was boss!

    ROCK ON!

    \m/ \m/

  • @mvhockey16 Bad bass... Bad bass!

  • I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 7 on a 64bit Vista OS. It supports syncing multiple tracks which I use to perform the layover fades and the 4 block colab. Its a pretty powerful tool and I still have a lot to learn. But let me know if you have any more questions.

  • @ThePaulyChannel Good job man!!

  • hey man, what program did you use to get the 4 block collaboration view?

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHH, ALRIIIIIIIITE, YA'LL R FRICKIN BAD ASS!!!! I LUVED IT!!!! I'M A DRUMMER, U GUYS ROCKED THE HELL OUT OF THAT SONG!!!!!!!!!

  • Great work dude, you've got all the parts nailed!

  • I absolutly love the cult. For whenever my band plays it we don't have a chorus pedal. :(. Next sunday or monday look at my page., && I'll a vid of my band playing live of this song i mean.

  • Hey very nice cover. Impressive. I can't seem to find a good tab for the lead guitar part. If you could direct me where to go or even provide it yourself that would be awesome and much appreciated. Thanks

  • I had to wait 30 minutes to watch this video because of my slow computer....and I have to say, it was worth every minute! Fucken rock out man!

  • Wow, that was completely one of the coolest videos I've ever seen seriously, Epic win!

  • nice charvel .. model 6 I am guessing :D and I dont even know why I can tell ... the model 4 is the same pickup configuration but bolt on neck (and I think the model 5 was dual humbuckers) .. at least from the guitar charvel logo era. just great guitars and have held their value since then !

  • Yeah, you're right. 6A to be exact. Bass is a 3B. Both have the active variable preamp which allows for a spectrum of possibilities. Owned both since new; American made, late eighties-ish. Neck-through-bodies, with very thin necks make for some of the sweetest playability you’re going to find. Though I played this ’56/’57 Les Paul Gold-Top once…

  • this is great dude. My band is covering "Fire Woman", We might even do "Wildflower", But fire woman is our ending song. because, I'm holding out the guitar solo 2 minutes longer. xD. Hopefully it'll sound good. :).

  • @giutar24 - I'm sure it will sound great! Excellent choice for an ending song. Rock-it!

  • Totally aewsome !

  • I'm a big KISS fan my self. :) my first really big concert i went to was KISS. By the way, this song has some killer guitar riffage. xD. that's a new word. riffage. I love playing guitar sooo much.

  • Great job man!!!

  • Great work!!!!!!!! I can watch it over and over.

  • That is really cool, what video editing software are you using in order to split the screen like that?

  • I can't believe this video has only 3,182 views. It deserves more

  • Wow, i'm totally impressed. I like both Firewoman, and Detroit ,Rock City.Keep up the great work.

i really want to be a better singer but if i really get into it i have the p*** taken out of me

i hope to sing and play guitar as well as you one day

my main aim is to play guitar and backing vocsals in a band eventually

    are you in a band?

  • Great, really ORSM :o) If I had enough money

and space in my apartment I would do the same thing... Greetings from germany :o)

  • Wow!!!! Great song and great cover.

    You Rock!!!

  • Wow!!! great cover.

    You Rock!!!!

  • Hello Pauly.

First off, overall you did an absolutely outstanding job on all the instruments. I was searching for a bass cover only for this song and came up empty so I gave this a listen--I was very pleased.

I do have to say that I don't like your vocals on this cover (a song's vocals/lead singers make it or break it for me) because they just don't seem to fit after hearing the original (Ian Astbury IS hard to duplicate), but I still need to commend you for this effort.

    WELL DONE!

  • Damn YouTube only let me have 500 characters and I just wasted some more...

Pauly, I was wondering; can you post each of your instrument/vocal tracks separately? I'd love to hear the bass or guitar stand alone.

Again I must say excellent work on your cover of one of my most favorite songs by any band ever.

You are a very talented musician and I wish you the best in all you do.

Please, keep doing covers until you're old and feeble--you're very entertaining.

    Again, very good work.

  • So Awesome!

  • Great job. My favorite song and you made it gel. I love the add on to the guitar solo.

  • WoW Way to Much Free time on your Hands ! But My God did you utilize it Well . Awsome editing , Awsome Playing Skill of all . Vocals Coulda used a bi of Coaching in a few parts , not saying I could ever dream of doing as well as you did !!!!!

Overall outta 10 I would give this easily a

    9-9.25 .... Very Well Done !

  • Its Deff Leppard playing The Cult.

tough! His voice seems like listening to Deff Leppard.

    The end is amazing.

  • 'wow'

not one bad thing i can say about this

a great cover of a great band

do u have any tips for singing rock? i sing every day but i just dont seem to get it right

  • I am deeply dissappointed, I was expecting some amusing failure, Instead you showed GREAT TALENT and did a geniuinely GOOD JOB!!!! therefore ruining my day! :(

  • This is simply amazing. All the parts sound great together. Sick guitaring btw. Keep on rockin!

  • Good display. Not only a display of command of all 4 musical parts, but recording, mixing and video editing.

  • I heard the first 15 seconds or so, but it stopped to buffer.. but so far so good lol

I really like the song, first heard the Crush 40 cover, which is awesome... lol

  • Dude, YOU ROCK !!!!

Tell me, what recording program do u use ??

    Keep On Rockin'!

  • Thanks! It is actually an old Roland VS-2480 DAW - Self-contained digital recorder / mixer. Its a dinosaur but I just love it. You are a huge Kiss fan. Did you get a chance to check out my Detroit Rock City Cover?

  • @ThePaulyChannel Detroit Rock City was the first video i saw u in! It rocked ! :D

  • I'm not only impressed by your obvious proficiency with an entire range of instruments, but by how beautifully you synched up the footage. I like the divided screen format. I adore this song--I was doing a search on YT to listen to it, and happened to come across your awesome video!

  • Thank you for sharing a very warm and heart-felt comment.

  • 5*** Nice job -Dr. K

  • Thanks Dr. K. I'll be checking out your channel this weekend.

  • I know alot of work went into this, incredible work bro

  • Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, it was a lot of work and I still have so much more to learn. But it has been super fun and has me playing so much more often. I'll be checking out your channel this weekend.

  • ezdrummer?

  • Stock Roland TD-9 module straight to stereo tracks.

  • This fuckin rocks!!!

  • Thanks lightening boy!

  • crush 40's is better people

  • Who? hahaha!

  • @ThePaulyChannel trust you to not know one of my favorite band's

how about search their name along with fire woman on youtube

    there mainly game music artists

  • man your awesome at all your intruments but to me you a killer drummer!! plz put up more covers like this there really fun to watch :] 5/5 stars for sure!!!

  • @NelsonRezek cept the microphone XD just kidding

  • Thanks. I especially appreciate your feedback on the drums as until last march (09) I hadn't played drums for years. I got some more in the works.

  • Dude this was an excellent cover im very impressed with your talent..Keep rockin 5 stars and favorited.

  • Thank you so much. I'll keep rockin' 'till the day I die.

  • Dude, that was amazing. Just out of curiosity, what's your main instrument?

  • Good question. Actually my main instrument has changed many times over the years. Guitar from 7->12, Drums from 12->19, Bass from 16->??? (yeah there some overlap there as I played in about 8 different bands from 16-19). Professionally though I'd have to say bass. I appreciate your interest and feedback!

  • That's so cool. I don't know how guys like you do it. Where do you find the time to master all those instruments? I mainly play guitar, and I've tried being a multi instrumentalist but I just don't have the time to dedicate to more than one instrument; I only get an hour or two practice on most days.

  • Pauly... man... you're good. Keep rockin out bro.

  • Thanks, I'm gonna go rock out right now.

  • Awesome cover, one of the best versions of this song I've ever heard. Top marks.

  • Thanks so much, quite a fantastic complement!

  • No thanks, Pauly, I was trying out for a band and they were doing this song. (This song went AWESOME btw). I played it pretty similar to how you did, added a few fillers. I think I made it in though, I'm going back today. (In case you were curious)

  • Oh, okay. Yeah, curious... how'd it turn out?

  • Dude, that's, that's, that's just awesome. And the gear you've got, holy WOW. Stupid question, did you get the four screen effect from adobe premiere? Just wondering. This vid is just to cool. We'll all be keeping our eye's on you............Keep 'em coming..

  • It is not a stupid question, I'm learning as I go. Premiere has the ability to play multiple video tracks at once, as well as resize and reposition the tracks. So I resized 'em at 50% and moved them into the corners. Thanks for commenting. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. You can catch my newest vid, Detroit Rock City, on my channel. I tried out a green screen for the first time. I think it turned out pretty cool.

  • Oh, and the real trick is getting them and keeping them all in sync!

  • Found this doing some research for the bass. I like what you did with the chorus. Cool video.

  • Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. Would you like to ask any questions about bass?

  • It's like old times, without the rocker hair. I love it. You are awesome!

  • Thanks Kel, too bad you weren't in the audience to inspire me even further LOL! Great times and even better memories. If I could go back and do it all over again... I would!

  • Absolutely fantastic, you being able to cover that song, given the range of instruments you're playin' ! I think Ian Astbury would have a pretty good smile on his face !!!. Btw....what are the pickups you're using on the axe?

  • Thank you so much. Wouldnt it be something if Ian actually commented on this video? :-p Enough dreaming The guitar is a circa 1985 Charvel / Jackson with all Jackson hardware, pickups, and active electronics. I tried to do a little research for you on the actual brand of the pickup but I didnt find anything convincing. It is a very flexible axe that can emulate just about anything from the bite of Metallica or Randy Rhodes to the dirty of AC/DC through ZZ-Top to the clean of Satriani.

  • Comment removed

  • DUDE I am lost for words! holy shhhhhh- that was awesome! I think you even made the chorus BETTER! You are amazing. You should know that.

  • Thanks for the super-nice comment; this song is so much harder than I first understood when I decided to try it. The chorus is my favorite part and I wanted to do it justice. Thanks again!

  • love it! especially the way you rock out while you're playing the bass. the only thing you're missing on vocals is a leg kick lol. very well done, i'm jealous it's one of my favorites and it's just barely out of my vocal range

  • Thanks so much. I had another HD angle on the vocals but my Adobe Premiere software was barfing on it so I had to use the LD vid from my camera. Sorry to hear its out of your range; can you do it down a half-step?
