@Catjean8 Well, there is this story from Japan, where a bunch of kids(Age 13-14) Played the real version, that says, if your guess is wrong, a part of you will be cut off(Fingers, eyes etc.) one of the girls got her head cut off, and she was the only one who died. Among the others, some had got their eyes cut out, and they even found one of the fingers in the apartment where the game was played. And the kids only did this because they thought it would make them immortal.

That's the thing. The "caged bird" is supposed to symbolize an unborn child, Turtle and crane - the symbols of luck - have slipped, so they failed to bring good luck to the child...
