Banks who lend money to unqualified people, and the federal government that failed to provide oversight. Both political partries are to blame. Senate banking committe chairman Chris Dodd, and House finiance chief Barney Frank hold the most responsibility. Once the housing bubble "popped" the whole house of cards came down.

When Obama recieved his office position our nation was 10 trillion dollars in debt. A number that has never been reached before. For him to take office and put any matter before getting our nation out of debt is completely irresponsible. He has done the complete opposite. He has had more deficit spending than any president in history for his first two years. 4 trillion dollars in 2 short years. We cannot sustain this as a nation. How will our children ever pay for this?

@joeyhol75 the reason no Prez has spent so much in 2 years is he came into power when we were in year 8 (i think it was) of war, and war is expensive. That is why he did have to spend money. It was only for help. As for the debt, you cant single handly blame Obama (dont deny, all in that first sentence) you must blame Bush as well for starting it. I dont hate Bush, dont get the wrong idea, but the debt is no reason to blame Obama for. Any questions?
