  • @cfitz1964 I bet it did hit you hard, take your time it will get better. I hope I go before my wife because I would miss her to much. Good luck and God bless you!!!

  • I CRY EVERYTIME I HEAR THIS!!!

  • ss devin. my 19 yr old daughter was murdered on 10/3/1995 and I also love this song

  • I used to ask my father why charlie never wore a cowboy hat very often. My dad said because they couldn't make one big enough to fill the genius of that man. Now that I am older I think I understand. He is one of the most underrated country artists of all time. One of the best song writers to match.

  • I grew up listening to Charlie Pride but this song really hits home because I lost my first husband 26 years ago & there are so many memories that you can't pack away ..Love this man..Seen him in concert...fantastic!!!!

  • I grew up---and cut my teeth with music like this playing in the house all the time, sure do miss it.

  • YOU GOT TO HAVE NO KIND OF FEELINGS IF THIS ONE DONT MAKE YOU CRY! AND CRY! <3

  • I still cry when i play this song. My beautiful wife died October 3, 2009 after 42 years of a wonderful marriage. Will never get over this loss. Don't know where to put her memory. So guess it will stay in my heart.

  • @Devinkills1 I am sorry to hear about your loss :( God Bless you and may you keep her memories in your heart forever.

  • @Devinkills1 Sorry for your loss, Devin. This song would make me cry harder too if I had lost anyone.

  • I have always loved this song...especially the unforgettable line at 16-22 seconds, where he cleans out her drawers!! Priceless.

  • Such a beautiful song and one that I can certainly identify with.

  • He can put his shoes under this white gals bed anytime!!!!

  • charlie and vern gosdin the best of the best

  • @ COA.. well spoken friend, well spoken

  • The original recording is even better. This sounds too modern to my ears, sorry.

  • i ll never take down any thing that she gave me but where do i put her memory my ever darling mum? and now my dad

  • i ll never take down any thing that she gave me but where do i put her memory my ever darling mum?

  • love this song,,thank u

  • what a great voice and one of the great country music singer/songwriter. for those who love country music and hasn't heard many or even any of Mr. Charlie Pride's music, wow, they will find one of the all time best. even though i grew up in the 60's 70's, i still love his music. it pisses me off how we whites treated the blacks, "No-One" is w/out sin, may God forgive us.

  • @ConditionOfAnonymity shove your "white" guilt up your ass!!!! enjoy the music and leave crying and confessing for church...

  • @FUwogs why thank you bubba, but i don't roll that way. i'm just not into that gay life style, but you go girl. maybe you should stop by on sunday and we could load up the truck and go to church? but right now shhhhhhhh i'm listening to music.

  • where do you put her memory when she is the one who taught you what love is.

  • what a great voice!

  • I wanna take this time and THANK YOU for putting these songs on here. I long to hear all the greats that remind me of my late wife..... May God Bless You....

  • This song came over the radio on a camping trip & I did something that I have NEVER done & will NEVER do again...cried in front of my nephew's and their dad. This song caught me totally off-guard & I was about 1 beer from falling down, anyway, so the booze just intensified the effect. Amazing how music can do that, even to a non-emotional hard-ass, like me.

  • @welcometoorefuge I had a simular experience..great tune.

  • @welcometoorefuge I think I know what you mean. It's the only song I've ever pulled off to the side of an Interstate highway for-to keep it from fading out.

  • Like Roy Clark's "Yesterday" belongs to him, this belongs to Charlie Pride.

  • Seeing him in concert a week from Sat, CANT WAIT!! Taking my Dad...I grew up in teh 1970's listening to my Dad sing Charley's songs : )

  • No question, his best tune.

  • Lovely Tune :)) 5*

    Patricia.
