But there's a hidden trick as well. At the beginning, when Penn says "real, no kidding, golf pro Johnny Miller", Teller points to Miller at 0:08 on the tape. If you look closely, he is flipping Miller off (sideways) by pointing with his middle finger. If you freeze-frame it you can see he starts the gesture with his index finger, does a kind of "sleight of finger", flashes the middle finger instead, then switches again as he pulls away.

Yeah, I tried this with my dad.. He fell for it Hook, Line and Sinker.. and I still missed the freaking putt!!!!! My advice is to do it with a 1 ft putt and not a 5 footer like I tried to do.

You can do this trick with beers and shots. Make a bet with someone that you can drink 2 pints of beer, before the other one drinks a small shot of vodka or something. But he can only start drinking when the first glass has been placed back on the bar. turn it upside down over the other guys shot, and you won. make a rule not to allow anyone to touch anyones glass

Actually the trick you are thinking of involves putting a shot under a hat and telling the person you will drink the shot without moving the hat. Make the bet and then pretend like you sucked the air out right next to the hat and say that you drank the shot. Act all sure of yourself. When they say they don't believe it, get them to lift the hat up to prove you didn't drink the shot. Then drink it while they sit and hold the hat like a sucker.
