Most of todays Goth-Music is sadly derivative of lots of bands like "The March-Violets",Sisters,etc (the sleeve for "Botanic-Verses* said: 'Now, FUCK-OFF and do something creative'...Create!!! don't just be copyists!
this IS the record version. There seems to be a TAD of some wierd reverb or some live stuff playing very softly along with this but this IS the studio version of the song. Im a recording engineer and this is one of my favorite songs - so trust me. :) Id know if it was live. This was on their Natural History album which I have never seen on CD but maybe it exists? I have everythign including the rare peel sessions that doubled with sisters of Mercy. Rare vinyl piece that is.
What the hell was the cameraman thinking? No shots of the band (great guitarist) and many times we show singers just as they are FINISHING... sheesh. Still a fun watch.
I have the Natural History EP, excellent condition, this is on it

I guess I was asking which record it was on. I can tell that this isnt really live just by watching how off the soundtrack is.

I've had to come in to work on a Sunday. It sucks. I'm youtubing to kill the time. And then I find a goldmine of March Violets footage.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this upload. I had forgotten just how superb this band were. I'm sad I missed the reunion gig.

By far one of the Best bands in the early 80's, agree that once Simon left the gig they should have packed their bags and went home for a pint!

The best fucking band to ever come out of Leeds.
Spiggy and Andrew should of hung it up after 1983.

now the singer controls Doktor Avalanche in the Sisters Of Mercy, very nice.
They were a pretty post-punk band.
