BTW I have seen many people throw SBFs into 17-69 camaros quite often. Jmod'd 4R70W trans, 4k stall, and a 200 shot of nitrous in a completely stock 4.6l sohc w/ an edelbrock carb/intake and it will run 6s easily with a full interior. that's a $2500 build or less. New 5.0s can run even quicker, not to mention all the versions of the 4.6l 4v.
@wignigeater A stock LS1 vs a stock 4.6 is no comparison, 350 HP vs 260 HP? There is a reason most of the Ford hot rods at car shows have small block Chevy's in them. And there is no way a stock 4.6 is going to do 6's with any amount of nos. I will take Ford's rearend and interior over the Camaro's but drivetrain I have to stick with Chevy. The 5.4 Shelby is the only late model Mustang I would drive, but I'll stick with my less expensive 6.2 SS.

Corvettes have been around a lot longer than mustangs have AND they are in a completely different league performance wise. Camaros and mustangs are to be compared and FORD had the SHELBY to try to keep up with the Corvette. Also, Camaros have always kind of embarrassed mustangs in stock to stock comparisons, its about time Ford made one that gives the camaro a run for its money.

BTW I have seen many people throw SBFs into 17-69 camaros quite often. Jmod'd 4R70W trans, 4k stall, and a 200 shot of nitrous in a completely stock 4.6l sohc w/ an edelbrock carb/intake and it will run 6s easily with a full interior. that's a $2500 build or less. New 5.0s can run even quicker, not to mention all the versions of the 4.6l 4v.

@wignigeater A stock LS1 vs a stock 4.6 is no comparison, 350 HP vs 260 HP? There is a reason most of the Ford hot rods at car shows have small block Chevy's in them. And there is no way a stock 4.6 is going to do 6's with any amount of nos. I will take Ford's rearend and interior over the Camaro's but drivetrain I have to stick with Chevy. The 5.4 Shelby is the only late model Mustang I would drive, but I'll stick with my less expensive 6.2 SS.

You chose the inferior car on both. 1, yes with a 200 or 250 shot they may do 6s in the 1/8th (in case you were thinking 1/4th dumbass). 2, the newer 4.6 was only .1 sec slower than the fat ass 6.2l turd. 2, the 03 cobra engine can handle over 1k hp from the factory. 3, most of the Fords here don't have SBturds in them. 4, the only reason people do that is because the 350 so mass produced that everyone and their dog has one and they are easy to find

So a F-150 4.6 is .1 sec slower that a ZR1 6.2? You might want to get your G.E.D. as soon as possible.

And saying it is .1 sec slower could be 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile or as you like to measure 1/8 mile. You obviously don't know how to complete sentences. By the way, the new 5.0 (MUSTANG) doesn't eat the 6.2 (CAMARO), they are dead even in a straight line.

Now you will put up another video of the 5.0 winning. There are so many variables that come into effect. They are to close to argue. Around a track the Camaro eats it up with better weight distribution and doesn't have a rear axle out of the 20th century. Mustang owners have to be some of the most bias car owners there are

My college roommate beat an 05 Mustang GT 4.6 with his Cummins Diesel, then the douchebag went flying by when he started braking. And the video of the was right next to the one you sent me, it didn't take much more than 5 seconds. Put all the valves and cams you want in an engine, there is no replacement for displacement.

@john200715 The dyno tests show that the 5.0 has 432bhp, not 412bhp as Ford said. Yes their is replacement for displacement. I call it nitrous, turbos, superchargers, e85, water, methanol...I can go on and on...It's smart HP. a turbo 5.4l can whoop the ass of a H/C/I 150 shot camaro any day. I call it a failmaro because it pisses me off...my camaro is a 383 stroker, but I hate it, sorry! I like my fully forged 4.6 thank u. @john200715 It has been dyno tested to have over 430BHP. i went to the camaro club because I thought people might be normal. no, they talk trash the whole time and it pisses me off, that's why I'm selling my failmaro. There is replacement for displacement...obviously shown in the new 5.0 (and yes, the 5.0 is a 4.6l based engine. The only reason we can't bolt the heads up to 4.6's is because Ford changed the water passages so it'd be near impossible). Yea, flooring it past a GT and then braking.

Both brands have their ups and downs the Mustang doesn't win in every category like you think. Personally I like the way Chevy's small block feels and sounds, a raw pushrod V8. I wish mine had the magnetic suspension like the new ZL1 will have. That is the most superior handling system out right now.

First off, the 3v 4.6 was the worst 4.6 besides the original non-pi, but it still has power. The 4.6l sounds the best of the engines...ask anyone with an ls1, everybody likes the mustang sound. I never said it wins every category, but the camaro is no longer a pony/muscle car...it's a fat ass new < fbody. The new stang stomps it n every category.
