My mon had a 2001 24V DOHC station wagon.

It drove from Nova Scotia to BC (through the rockies), to Ontario 3 times, twice to Florida, and we sold in fall of 2009 for $4000. Amazing car, I'd really like to have it back. The guy we sold it to lives in my town, so I see it everyday. I would like to buy it back but, we were talking to him and his last 24V DOHC Taurus Wagon was a write off at 230,000 KMS.

the valcan 12v motor is ok but own 2004 sable 24v dohc with the axun trans that trans is a bit more reliable than the axuns that tranny sux hopefully u have the stronger tranny if not good luck

@silverr616 Your car has a parking brake. Push it all the way in and put some oil under the front tires. In no time you will be burning out. Have fun

@me4prez10037 That generation of taurus had the e-brake mounted to a pedal to the far left under the dash, so it's not a handbrake. One of the biggest things I hate about my taurus... And yeah, these guys are stupid, but we all do stupid shit... One things for sure, After college and a better job, my taurus is getting traded for something rear or AWD! and a console mounted handbrake... :)

@GTtaurus uhh no the 24v has 200 torque weighing 3500 curb weight while the vulcan has 184 torque while weighing 3100 pounds. so you do the math ;)
