Yes they are both droney pop songs but that's about it. I don't think you really understand basic theory.
I like that song a lot too. But that's just a stupid comment.

@richardhigonsby you're right, the songs sound very similar. but we're talking about Liars and Animal Collective here. they're magnificent artists with a scope beyond just a pretty melody, right? so calling it a "ripoff" is out of place.
