I always thought Comic Sans was a strange name for a font. Comic Sans-serif actually makes more sense. It only sounds wrong because that's not what MS chose to call it. But then again, for either to make sense wouldn't there have to be a font called Comic that had serifs? Maybe there is, but I've never seen it.

I used to love Comic Sans. Now I never use it.

I spend a lot of times on forums, and while amny people are experienced with photoshop, etc., but very few actually know the general graphic design principals. Can you make a video explaining a bunch of graphic design principals that would apply to forum signatures? (use of gradients, typography is small spaces, etc.

When I was taught DTP back when it was 'the next big thing; back in 1990 (yes I am really that old), I was taught the rule about not mixing serif and sans serif fonts. I just stick to Areal for almost everything now as it seems to be the easiest for people to read.

Also, do you have any REALLY basic, like, intro-level typeface text to recommend? Free internet-based stuff would probably be best, but I know how hard that is to find. I'm just ever-so curious about the mysterious world that is typeface.
