I know Stephen isn't too fond of his father, but just by seeing/hearing little clips and things here and there, and even Stephen's own descriptions, I cannot help but like this man. I think I'm quite similar to him, which probably means Stephen wouldn't be too fond of me either. That's a great shame, but it can't be helped, I suspect.

I live in Bury & that sugar factory utterly stinks the place out. So does the green king brewary and the branston pickle factory which are also in town.

@lithfrasir I used to pass through Bury on the way to see my grandparents who lived in a small village close to Lowesoft. I was always amazed by the size of the factory and how so out of place it was. I was intrigued and amazed when i found out Stephen Fry's connection to the factory.

I wish I could find out about my family history. My maternal grandmother was born out of wedlock so they never spoke about her father. My paternal grandfather immigrated from Germany and settled down in Colombia where he met my grandmother but no one knows anything about his life.
