I swear there's a whole generation whose whole sense of humour derives precisely from this era of British comedy who still sit in pubs in their 30s talking like this. They call it 'banter'. It should probably stop as it goes but this is a welcome hit of nostalgia.
I'm like Richard, i love all kinds of whales; blue whales... humpback whales... killer whales... sperm whales. Of course they're all sperm whales by the time i'm finished with them.
was this actually on in the morning? i cant imagine it was.... then again, i never saw it, which was weird as i was a big fan of fist of fun, so how did this show pass me by?.......
yes, this really was on sunday morning. I used to watch it. and even then thought how did they get away with it. I don't think it ran for very long and the bbc didn't make a big thing about it (advertising and such) so this may be why some (if not most) people missed it.

Snowy owls... excellent... clashes beautifully with R. Herring's seemingly clean-cut cheeky-chappy persona

How did they get the 99 problems reference several years before it was released?
CloudStrifeOfficial 3 years ago
Because the Jay-Z version is a remake of an earlier 99 problems
JonathanBloggs 3 years ago 4
The title and chorus are taken from Ice-T's "99 Problems" from his 1993 album Home Invasion.

Fantastic! Rich and Stewart are the cream of 90's British comedy. Or should that be snow?
