The more I watch these videos, the more I wonder if there may not be equally as talented Americans trying out for American Idol but don't get selected/ aired on TV. I am just glancing at the you tube vids of both and drawing my guesses. The American one appears to put emphasis on bad singers for laughs then improvement/ progression for the contestants. The American view is progression. From ok to great. The Swedish appears to put emphasis on the strongest/ best singers. What it should be imho.
