No offense, but that's BS. If you're gonna look at things the way you're looking at it, nobody ever did something new. The elements of GWAR are just a mix of their inspirations, just like with Alice Cooper. No one ever did something new, except for the man who invented the elements that everyone are finding new ways of using.

Besides, Slipknot are MUCH more influenced by Slayer and other thrash acts. Slipknot used, just like GWAR, the elements in a new way.
