I lived in Rancho in the 70s right where this guy was raping. the guy my aunt married was a suspect in this case. Dont think theyre ever gonna get this guy.

they need to come out n say to law enforcement ,do you ever remember a time when u had a bad feeling about a partner on the force near the crime scenes police departments.or had bad vibes from a cop you worked with ,im sure someone knows who it was or has a good idea,i believe it was a cop 99 per cent,.its not a felon in any california jails so that reinforces my belief.

@jimpurdie One theory is he was in the USAF. Since he would be in a certain location for a few years then vanish. Dont know if thats true, but it is an interesting possibility.

People in the military need to stop their tough-guy act when you see a man acting suspiciously and call the police or if absolutely necessary take matters into your own hands. This was a very tragic case but nobody is tougher than a firearm.

And obviously it's very sad that he was killed, but that's a comment that needs to be made, it's not worth being the tough guy when your life could be hanging on a thread. This guy would probably have done absolutely nothing if they just walked by.

Grabbing the licences wasnt about contacting them. He kept it as a momento to re-live the rape. You often see this with serial rapists and killers, though it's not neccesarliy drivers licences persay. When the licences werent enough he called them to re-live the attack with the sound of their voice.
