I seem to recall reading this was the episode that got padded out as the Codename:Robotech video (potted version of the whole thing up to this point)- the first introduction I had to Robotech, and anime, as a kid.
@puDDykaa Hell YEAH! I realize that the ads are how youtube can keep it's videos free and the site going but this shit is getting old. If I had the choice I would prefer to have the add in a little banner next to the video than as a commercial inside of it..
@corona73 I read somewhere that two space based carriers would've been fitted there, such as the ones destroyed in the first episode. Since the SDF-1 found itself at the opposite end of the solar system they made do with what they had
Actually the SDF-1 was never buikt to do this Modular transformation as persay, note the Zentradi's reaction when it does, so it wasn't feasible. It was only after it crash on Earth, and some structural changes were done could it do so. But yes, it would look like a paraplegic I guess.
Interesting fact: In the first (or was it second?) episode shown at 5:00, the scene where Roy shot the Zentradei was edited to an "off camera" shot for violence, but here it is unedited.
This show was epic to me as a kid, some parts I hated some I loved, looking at it all again I realized its because everyone & thing had their place. Thanks for the memories.
