Secondly - Over 3.5 million Texans voted for Obama, more than any other state other than New York and California. There are a lot of progressives in Texas.
If you do not support all 50 states of OUR UNION then perhaps YOU should move to another country.

According to the constitution of the United States, it is illegal for the U.S. to annex any nation unless given consent by it's people and sovereign ruler. The U.S. had neither, and illegally annexed us. So u see, ceding from the union won't be necessary, because we've never been a part of it!
In 1893 the Kingdom of Hawaii was overthrown by the Honolulu Rifle miltia which formed the Republic of Hawaii. The Republic of Hawaii was the sovereign ruler until the U.S. annexed Hawaii in 1898 with the Republics blessing.

They only annexed it due to the spanish American war. Hawaiians weren't even allowed to vote, but US military could... It was illegal, and we are doing something about it. But don't be so ignorant as to assume ceding from the most powerful nation on the planet is an easy task. Especially considering we have more military stationed here than Iraq!
