  • If they are british, zulu or whatever ...the music is brilliant

  • This is superb.

    It`s 1985 again!

  • Freddie Mercury meets Axl Rose.......phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!

  • Check out "down the road" by Vintage Villain dot com

  • Ooops! Sorry to You Britains, it was UK ofcourse! ;O)

  • Reminds me a little of the "You Spin Me Round" video :-P

  • Just saw these guys Sunday at the Warfieid in SF; man oh man do they still bring the heat. Recommended must see if they ever play in your area. They put every poser "rock" band to shame. Rock on, Ian and Billy.

  • Its a great song and a great band but what is with the toilet paper ?

  • This is definitely one of the best bands I've ever heard! They are original!

  • One of the best bands I have ever heard.

  • This song is timeless and never fails to get me going when I need a lift! :)

  • Still the best US band ever ..... Simply love it, 80´s FOREVER!!!

  • @challesboy They're British :)

  • @challesboy they're english you pleb. LOL

  • @challesboy I feel the same way about the 70's.

  • Whoever compiled the Vice City soundtrack was a damn genius.

  • Represents the Best Years ! Well Said ! I Agree .

  • This band represents the best years of my life.

  • ......vice city....

  • One of these seemingly effortless songs that has everything in the right place, a great singer, with handsome charisma, a tight solid as a rock Cult blokes backing it all up. It lights up the dark night like a frenzied comet, and makes everyone dance around like mental folk.

    Job done.

  • One of the few truly timeless songs to come out of the 80's. Despite it being over a 1/4 century old it still grabs you. I saw the reaction last night when they played in front of an audience that the majority of which weren't even born yet when this song came out. The kids there from Arizona State went just as nuts as I did when those opening notes were played.

  • @lickknob11 I remember when I was @the Univ. of Colorado & this album just came out. I was @a record store in Boulder, when I first heard this. CD's were still new and cassette tapes were still the primary mode of music transportation. Ian Astbury has an incredible voice & stage presence. And Billy Duffy's guitar work is what it is ... TIMELESS!

  • Oh god, I love these guys so much.....

  • I have no idea what he's singing, but love this one anyway.

  • heerlijke muziek

  • I've been looking for this since I was about 7 years old, i'm now 14 and it never occured to me that i could just ask my dad lol.

  • the singer has a monkey face from the night of the times

  • haha, he is sweet acually.;) i´ve got most of their albums. but not southern death cult.. is it any idea to buy them?

  • Its only bands like THE CULT and EARTH CULTURE that reall knew how to kick ass!!!

  • Dangerous cruising tune , kinda loose sense of .........SPEED .

  • Yeah this kicks big ass...and buddy has the moves too

  • This song was ahead of its time, ROCK ON!!!!

  • one of there best kick ass tunes

  • a right little Mick Jagger to be sure. The only good thing to come out of Leeds was an empty German bomber.......

  • a right little Mick Jagger to be sure.

    Disregard the gay dancing :D

  • This song in my opinion is the best they ever made. Has an awesome beat and lyrics!!!!! Never get tired of hearing it!!!

  • Definitely in my top 10, all time. It brings back such good memories :)

  • best intro ever.awesome.

  • Simple song, but really, once you've NAILED it don't mess with it. They didn't. Classic anthem.

  • This is one of the best kick ass, take no prisoners songs I have ever heard but why did the lead singer have to do a brief Curley shuffle ???

  • @MissScarlettOHara

    Jamie Stewart.

  • @pasuljar Ah, thank you. :]

  • banging

  • Compare this, their last "goth" record to the new "rock" of Wildflower. Seems to be a case of bandanas off and longer hair. Still love 'em but would have been better if they had stuck to the goth imagery.

  • What a tune...... Fan..fliping...Tastic

  • Sometimes you just have to shut up and let the music speak. Class!!!

  • audio synchronized wrong

  • Play this song inside a Lamborghini Diablo or Ferrari F40 at the Autobahn. A perfect scene.

  • I don't know, but I think that Steve Tyler of Aerosmith may have been messin' around Scotland a few years back. Check out Ian's sinuous moves, mike stand handling, mouth, etc. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin', know what I'm sayin'?

One of my fave groups to this day!

  • who thinks this song deserves more views

  • This was in Vice City fucking love this tune :D

  • @Joeyslittlebro i know, i used to listen to this song driving over to staten island to the mansion....good times :)

  • Just saw "The Cult" at Sundance '09 - had no idea they were playing until minutes before! What a treat, they looked and sounded amazing.

Last time I saw them was when they opened for Billy Idol in the eighties (feeling kinda old now).

  • this song needs to be played LOUD all the time lol

  • @buggylrp i know what you mean my friend rattled window panes in the local club with his video disco gear when this was out first.....put a big smile on my face lol

  • This is by far my FAVORITE rock song.

I usually don't go out buying records, but I certainly did for this one.

When the album came out, it was quite difficult to find in Montreal... and quite expensive, as well == 25 dollars back then!

  • This guitar is on display at the Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas. I just saw it yesterday. Dated!!! Its in its own Cult display with other items from this album. Very cool!!

  • this must be one of my favorite songs, and i love playing this on guitar hero aerosmith! best **** song on there

  • Don't quote me on this but i heard the unique sound of the guitar riff in this song is do to the fact that there was violin strings strung on it. If it is true, man they were really worked hard to be different in the new wave era.

  • great song .great band takes me back.

  • great song it takes me back to some good times

  • I agree, takes me back to the mid 80's cruising Hollywood Blvd and sipping on some good ass beer..NOSTALGIA..Damn I miss those days.....

  • VICE CITY'D OUT OF NUT!!!!

  • This song is amazing, fuckin' hell..

  • You know this really is a very good video - the bands all rocking, great editing, they're all dressed up in their rock'n'roll finery. The director and band really catch the mix of despair and mirth of the song. Really well done.

  • I love this song am learning to play it on guitar at the moment its quite hard

  • @youngDcfan me too :D

  • This songs... just makes you live and rock again!

  • great fucking song. The Cult rules!!!!

  • a great song,it makes you feel alive...:)

"ruleoforder",you should not offense the others just 'cause they have different opinions and musical choices...everyone understand and feel the music in his own way...if you cannot understand something, don't blame the Creator!...try harder or be more comprehesive,open-minded!...:)

    a sheep...:D

  • ruleoforder is an ignorant jackass that goes around on youtube making the same lame-ass idiotic comment on these videos to try and get attention. Pretty pathetic, wouldn't you agree? ruleoforder....loser troll.
