The 1997 Constitution of the Maldives designates Islam as the official state religion. The Government interprets this provision to impose a requirement that citizens be Muslims. Freedom of religion is restricted significantly. The law prohibits the practice by Maldivian citizens of any religion other than Islam. The president is the "supreme authority to propagate the tenets of Islam." Government regulations are based on Islamic law (Shari'a).

OMG. im 13 and dont exactly find that easy to relax but this place is soooooooo tranquil it was such a paradise. It's one place i wud definetly want 2 go again sum time. that is if its still there by the time im older and i have anoth money lool. I LOVED THAT HOLIDAY SO MUCH!! OMG. if u r goin to go there you have to go diving. I still cant get over how amazing it was after 5 months.its somthing you need to do in your life. If your thinking about going then just go for it. I MISS SUN ISLAND

That beach is beautiful looks like a swimming pool hope I could go there one day.

i miss is so much. it was a school trip and i miss everyone and everything so much.
