If you dont require a zoom lens then the Panasonic GF 1 is way better. I use it with the 20mm pancake complete with an old Leica 50mm external viewfinder. Its the closest thing to being ideal for "street/candid" photos. Beautiful lens. Ideally I would like a rangefinder camera about the size of the GF1. Leicas are not an option. They are heavy, expensive, over rated and slow to write to the card.
Great Video Loved it. I have been shooting with the g10 for about 7 months now... I love everything about it. It could be the best purchase I have ever made. Honestly.
i can appreciate what he is trying to do, but I get a little tired of veteran photogs being unable to adapt to digital photography. Doing things like mounting an expensive Leica viewfinder and setting hyperfocal distance are cool, but missing the point entirely. It is not a film camera, and shouldn't be treated as such.
i don't think he is miss the point at all he is just setting it up how he is useto i mean comon they make full frame cameras now i shoot with the g 10 too and i like to think of it not as a digital i shoot on a tripod with out the screen being on i treat it like a normal camera that is something that has been lost to digital is the antisipation and not being able to see anthing till you get your film prossesed even with my dslr i treat it like any normal film camera

great set-up -Knight is a professional photojournalist- it's called 'artistic license' plus the RAW setting... luv it!

Hi, Just wondering if you could tell me the name of the viewfinder Gary is using?

I think it's an older style Leica viewfinder, costs almost as much as the G10 though.

@csn3391 I love how this guy doesn't respond to any questions.
