hey what writer is this and what sounds are you using because i have tried both finale and sibelius and i cant find any good sounds or easy ways to write music
@snaredrumer09 and im guessing u actually bought finale and either way if u used finale how did u put in diddles cus i didnt see how to do that.... sibelius you can do that but it sounds like crap
Really good idea for a show! Some complex criticism though, at spots like 2:46 and other suspended cymbal rolls you may want to rewrite it so the cymbal sound peaks and decays naturally. And they have Templates for Virtual Drumline so you can score with it better with percussion maps in Finale.
The ballad is really good... I think you try to make the end of the ballad a retrograde(end is the same/similar to how the being) with just be bells and chimes in the end. It will make it seem like the calm before the storm as the eye come and goes.
The battery book is sounding really well thought out, and musical. The end of the show could sound bigger and full. Try gong and cymbal rolls into the last chord.
I totally dig this dude. My only critique is the dynamic shaping in the first movement. It seems like it's always a FF-PP kind of thing... Every phrase fades to nothing. Stylistically, that seems to get a little stale after the first phrase or two. I'll definitely watch this a few more times. I really enjoyed it!
Excellent! My only comment is that you might want to think carefully about the dynamic markings in the battery. It seems to me that you employ ff and fff too early in the work. That might over-balance the mallet parts in a number of places, and I think it's best to save the power for the end in any case. Can you give a link to pdfs of the parts? I'd love to chop through the snare part along with this!
In part 2, you may want to consider adding more movement in the arpeggio line in the marimba. You can make it do more then go from low to high. Think like a mallet player: Mallets are numbered low to high-1234. Maybe you should try to do permutations like 1234, 1342, 3421 etc.
Great closer too.
I would put some more linear impacts in the closer...or hit points to build tension.
This arrangement is amazing please message me back

It's wonderful! You should be very proud.
