  • she has the most wonderful blow job lips but I think Klimpt would have found her over the top.

  • omg woman stop moaning! some1 f* her to save other works of art!

  • 0:51 she said Arts & Crabs?????

  • LOL! Love is forever!!! I don't think so! Klimt might be forever...his painting certainly will continue to impress the viewer.

  • love is forever, romance is forever, art is forever!!!!!!!

  • What a horrible movie... the intonation of that woman is just... "How romantic.. blabla" She doesn't see the how thought through the use of the 'pretty circels and squares" are. The solid forms at the male side and the absense of those at the womans clothes show who is the dominant figure. The painting shows a forced farewell kiss before pushing the woman into a cliff at the bottom right. The womans toes are clamping at the edge and her hands aren't that in the position of a lover.

  • thats not even true...the painting is actually of him and his his girlfriend...they were passionately in love and she was his model....why would he paint her in a composition with him pushing her (his lover) off of a cliff?????

  • @markWiechmann absolutely, this video is ridiculous ; p

  • @markWiechmann the narrator is wrapped herself in traditional romanticism. there are people who dont like the modernistic individualism and equity gender

you are right in terms of your comments on the painting

  • I agree with her... : )

  • video doesnt do the painting justice. you must see the real painting with all the textures and gleaming gold to really appreciate.

  • the gold and bronze are over powering. i luv most of his work but the lack of contrasting colours i find abit off putting... lol too much for my lil eyes o.o i no theres green and dif colours in the flowers but... not enough lo just not my tast however im sure the techneques used are very impressive.. just my oppinion folks sorry if i offended any1 XD

  • How wonderful to see someone truly moved by a piece of art. A very inspired painting.

  • i don't really like it, it's amazing and would've taken ages and everything but.. the colours... her face. not attractive.

well it is really old so maybe the colours were nice then? or something?

  • TRASH!

  • ahhh, it s so romantic...

  • That must be what happened to you for you to think that way about this.

  • It's hard to make something of the expressionless face of the woman. Peace? Bored? Completely surrendered to their passion?

Anyway... since I'm romantically challenged... can anyone tell me what I should make of it when a girl hands me a postcard with this picture on the back?

  • oh, this painting is incredible, reflects passion and love.

  • The most annoying woman ever! Too much gushing and not enough interpretation.

  • She needs a bullet.

    but i love klimt :)

  • thank you for your insights ang the facts that you shared with us...truly remarkable artwork...

  • I see so much Love in this painting. I can see why he called it the "Kiss". I have his print of "Fulfillment" It is my favorite. Thank you for your magnificently warm walk into Art.

  • this is one of my favorite paintings too. i read somewhere that this was not really supposed to be romantic because the girl gives her cheek to the man instead and her face is neutral. I'm getting that impression too.

  • although she thinks that the painting is absolutely romantic, some of critical says that it is not romantic. cause if you look the womans face, you can see that she doesnt feel comfort.if we pay attention to her head position, we can see that she doesnt feel comfort again. and also she doesnt really hug the man who hugged her really hard..

  • Yeah, she's missing a lot. It's hardly romantic, look at her reaction to the man's advancement for a kiss. She's turned her head away. Also, look at her hands, she's cringing.

Klimt didn't just love women, he was a womanizer. The majority of the models he used for his paintings were prostitutes. I know I'm bashing him, but he is still one of my favorite painters.

  • ohhhhh so beautiful... yay another klimt fan i can relate with! (romance, love!)

  • It's funny how artcollectorsguilds video is called 'informational', even though she completely missed the point, context and meaning of the painting.

  • agree. 'ohh! it's so romantic!'. yuuh. right - missing the point.

  • It's clear to me that she LOVES this painting but that's it. She doesn't explains the symbols nor the characters.

The guy is not an ordinary man, he's in a higher level cause his wearing ivy in his head, this means he's kind of a "warlock", "pagan priest".

The woman represents life and nature, the flowers in her head means she is fertile and sexual.

The golden aura that makes a circle around them means that this love is blessed.

  • Wonderful! Many thanks.

  • this lady cracks me up. hahaha.

  • A glimmering study of intimacy. Gorgeous!

  • Sensual,Art Nouveau inspired from mosaics's craftmanship.

  • i like the painting.

  • it is a gorgeous. glad you like it, too. thanks for the comment.
